This is my take on the quad... I actually like when darker colors have some sheerness to them. I love me some pigmented dark colors too. But on us pale ladies you can get the punched in the eye look sometimes. So it's nice to have ones you can build up. The chalkiness is the part I don't like.

You are not alone. Sheerness can be great on pale complexions.

I think the problem with the color lavender is that the lavender plant comes also in pink, like in this pic:

So basicly anything can be called lavender.

The blushes look beautiful. Now I have no idea whether I should get Unconvential or not? I have Azaela Blossom and on me it's lilac-pink on my cheeks and if it's too close in color range then I can safely skip it. I will be getting my hands on Passionately Tempted.

yeah i was thinking about strength and apres chic. i need lots of money for December 26. like alot!! that blush looks like a color fiasco and the quad a pigmentation fiasco. i skipped the mattenes in the last 2 collections, i may do it again.

I wonder if this MES is Winter Pursuit (copper base with grey veining) or Silver Birch (grey base with peach veining).
But it looks more like copper IMO.

Thank you for the beautiful visual MRV! How I wish I were running around in this field of lavender or a bee sucking the sweet nectar out of it.

Even though I know both lavender and lilac colros go from light to dark, in my mind (my crazy mind) I always prefer the mid to darker colors for lipsticks and blushes and the lighter maybe for shadow or highlighting kind of things. Does this make sense? So whenever I hear lavender, I just assume it to be more on the purpler side.

Thank you for the link to the swatches. I am going to skip these blushes and hold off for the two coming out with the Strength collection. Unconvential looks exactly the same to me as FoJ does. Too sheer and pale for my liking. I had hoped for an actual grey/blue/lavender blush this time around. Oh well. Maybe it's coming on of these upcoming collections.

Thank you, Naynadine! Beautiful. I can't wait to see swatches of the lipsticks. I'm really interested in Hot Chocolate because it's suppose to be a mid tone plum. With MAC you just never know what their version of plum means. LOL.

^^It looks so different in the swatch than what it looks like in the pan. I love the swatch, but coppery e/s make my eyes water and burn sometimes, so I'm not sure if I'll get it.

I'm not that sad anymore that we're not getting TT. I still kinda sorta want the lavender blush, but it doesn't seem that special and I need to save money. I have Sakura and FoJ, so I'm good.

I used to think it was just some e/s formulas in general, but I now believe that especially copprery/red shades irritate my eyes. Maybe it's a certain pigment in it, I don't know. But I think I read that before that those kind of colors can be more irritating.
