MAC Taste Temptations Collection (November 2012; December 2012)

I got a CP for 2 Nocturnal Instincts and Unconventional.

First impressions of NI - this might just be the nude/MLBB I've been looking for. My natural lip colour is very cool/mauve/lavender and every so-called nude I've ever tried has been way too yellow/beige on me. Even pinkier nudes tend to be too warm. It does feel as though it will be quite drying on me, so I'll have to be sure to prep my lips well (just thrown it on at the end of the day right now) but I think it's worth it.

I don't think I've ever finished a make-up item in my life, and even though I'm wearing more now I'm buying more too, so the thought of backing products up seems crazy to me but I'm glad I took the plunge this time.

Haven't tried the blush yet, but it looks gorgeous (and the perfect pairing for NI) in the pan.

The texture is great. But two of the colours are perm, and the other two can easily be duped.

Nocturnal instincts is beautiful! I don't own one but I finally went to mac today and swatches it... I didn't put it on my lips because I was wearing seductive intent and that would've been such a hassle.. But it's so pretty, not at all like I thought it was. I'm on a no buy right now due to strength and après chic ... It was so hard to leave it and walk away :/ lol

I LOVE Nocturnal Instincts! This was the one I was really excited about. I am NW10-NW15 and it looks soooo incredible on my deathly pale skintone. Like a slightly greyed-out lavender MLBB. Not too purple, not too grey, not too light or too dark, it's juuuust right. Love! My fellow doesn't like lipstick at ALL and he liked this shade on me, and he also liked the matte finish. Kind of wish I'd gotten a backup now... haha. OH! And Nocturnal Instincts looks AMAZING with Via Veneto dazzleglass on top!

If yes,it does also include "Look at the Eyes".So maybe you do already have this one in stash too.

I love NI too! I'm a NW18 and it looks and feels really nice. I don't have VV but did pick up Perky so will have to try that.

Well, I just can't decide which mattene I like the best from this collection

Seductive Intent is definitely an awesome purple with brightness and depth, but I think I need to wear foundation with it to set it off to its best effect, plus fix my hair just so and wear the right clothes. Maybe when I get a little tan in the summer, it'll bring out the maximum sexy.

Nocturnal Instincts is a spectacular amped up MLBB, very perfect stuff. However, I can't get Haute Altitude and Hot Chocolate out of my mind from Apres Chic…those two are phenomenal in a similar, not the run of the mill MLBB way. So many options - it's hard to narrow it down.

I'm almost leaning towards saying Night Blooming has turned out to be my favorite, because it glows perfectly on me with a very purple cast, even with a bare face, enhances my skin, accentuates my eyes - really a perfect version of this type of color for me. I think it's starting to top Quick Sizzle in my hot pink best of list.

So NB > NI >SI ???? I think that's how it's gonna be…… what do you think?

I love it too, but I'm torn between it and Delectable for a very soft pale, not-nude with a difference…I trade off on those two all the time for my casual lipsticks. Also, seriously the ones from Apres Chic

Oooooh, I love Vellum! One of my first shadows. I grabbed 2 RIS because the counters I went to were sold out. I got the free overnight too. I hoping for a Monday delivery since mail moves internally even if the trucks aren't out. Since its Christmastime, mail moved even faster!

I got to try out Unconventional too, and it is a perfect winter blush for me. It gives a lovely brightening effect, makes me look quite fresh and perky LOL! I'm probably around NW10, for reference.

I thought that I was going to like Night Blooming best because of the blue pink, but Nocturnal Instincts turned out to be the winner for me. It's so awesome and I love the color.
