MAC - To The Beach Discussion

So a minute ago I was looking at the TTB swatch thread and saw the marine life highlight powder. I told my bf "Look, this is going to sell like hot cakes tomorrow." He took a look and said "Woah...I wouldn't want to use it if I have something like that." I smacked him and was like "How did you know?! That seahorse is an overspray and will go away." We all know that we don't want to ruin the pattern but his reaction shocked me!

I haven't bought any MAC since the Spring Color Forecast collection came out. This collection has bought me out of my MAC funk! There are so many things I want I don't even know where to start. So far Marine Life, Sweet & Punchy, Flurry of Fun & Float On By are my must haves.

When will it be on sale online?

I still can't decide if I want to get float on by eye kohl. It is such a pretty color but since most of MACs eye pencils smudge on me I don't think it would be practical.

I know for sure on Thursday I am going to pick up: firecracker e/s, Thrills lipstick & maybe another cream bronzer.

I keep wanting to purchase that color from Sephora but I always forget. It looks like such a gorgeous color!

I feel exactly same way! I don't think I can ruin the seahorse.

I've been caught in the rain many times and those babies won't budge. They're even good as shadow bases.

i only have one of these but i agree with Shontay! it doesn't budge. in facet i am wearing my turquoise one today because it's super hot and i know normal liner would be sweated off and smudged everywhere!

I decided to wear a little Float on By around my eyes today, despite the smudge risk. We'll see how it goes. It's too warm for full on eye shadow, so I needed a little something.

that's pretty much what i was thinking! all i have on my eyes today is some melon pigment and the mufe liner

Eww, I was just looking at the pics I posted of me wearing lipsticks from this collection and I want to make it clear that even though I don't have the prettiest lips, they are not as bad as they look in the pic of me wearing Funbathing! At that point, I had to rub the previous color off my lips and I was a bit too rough. My lips look so wrinkly. Ugh, sorry.

Anyways, when I'm lazy, I will just wear an Aqua Eyes pencil and some mascara and call it a day. It has so much color and staying power, you don't feel like a bum by keeping it so basic.

Maybe you could give them a call and ask if the collection is out already. The Pro store near me have the collection available since last week, and I read in this thread that Shontay too made her purchase in a Pro store in NYC. So, I believe it is possible that the store near you have this collection available too.
