Moldy smelling clothes from drying clothes outside? Either you have some really humid weather, or you are not spreading things out enough, so they don't dry properly for a long time.
Oh, and it could also be your washing machine that makes the laundry smell bad. Make sure to let the machine air out and dry properly without closing it completely every now and then, so mold and stuff doesn't grow in it.
I never use a dryer, those things eat fabric. Think of all that "dust" you remove from the filter? That used to part of the fabric of your clothes.
When I've lived in apartments that I didn't have my own machine in, and thus used the laundry room in the building, I'd use the dryer cabinet, because carrying wet laundry home would be unpractical. But now that we have a washing machine in our bathroom I just hang everything on laundry racks in the spare bedroom.
