MAC - To The Beach Discussion

Has anyone else noticed Temptalia mentioning on her blog that the packaging is going to be aqua green???????????????

Maybe I shouldn't get too excited until we know for sure.......
(ahem, Erin, where are you??? lol

)

Here's what Temptalia says- "To the Beach is the biggest launch of May, and I’d go as far as to say it’s the biggest launch of summer, with aqua-green packaging. It’s a full color collection, and I know a few of you have been saving up for this already!"

Hmmm..... Maybe our interpretation of green is different, but I would describe it more as baby poop green, or my cat just threw up on my brand new MAC eyeshadow green, or even mustard-y green based on the promo images. I would never have even considered aqua-green though because that might have been a more appealing color to me. Not that I'm against this one yet. I will wait until I see it, but...... not looking good aqua..... not looking good.....

Maybe she knows something that we don't, or has seen something that we haven't.

Hmm that is odd. I wonder if she is just referring to the eyeshadows? I wouldn't exactly call them "aqua" green but to each her own..

Hmmm, my MA told me it was orange and green. I doubt they would do aqua again after Lure. She also described the beach bag to me, and mentioned orange and green then too.

I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up! I would have preferred aqua green packaging instead of orange. I don't really care for eyeshadow packaging b/c I depot those, but aqua green lippies would have been a great addition to my collection.

I really don't like the green colour of the packaging (from what I can tell from the promo pics), Hipness is being depotted ASAP!
It's definitely not aqua green, it reminds me of guacamole every time I see it

!

That green looks like a mix of olive with grass green ( not a good combo if you ask me)! Definetely not an aqua green, Lure's green was aqua. I have the Lune blushcream next to me and it's the perfect aqua green, it also had a silver sheen, not obvious but it's there.

I don't *hate* the green color--I guess I'll wait & see if I like how Hipness looks in it before I rush out & buy a blush palette to start depotting.

But the orange? Not a favorite. I wonder how close it is to the neon orange of the Neo Sci-Fi collection. I still have a couple of things from that collection--they SCREAM at me when I look at my makeup! Hell, I may still end up getting a l/s or l/g from this collection (which would be Beach Bound l/s or Flurry of Fun l/g), so I'd just have to deal. I'm skipping on the shadows (I'm wondering how close Sweet & Punchy will be to Lucky Green), but those would be depotted anyway as soon as I got home.

Really? The cute starfish is the main reason I'm considering getting the blush. I never depot blushes, but I do depot e/s, so I wouldn't get one of those.

I like the orange packaging but not the green one for some reason. Green is my favourite colour but that shade just doesn't do it for me

Plus I have one more space left in my blush palette so something's gotta go in there!

i won't know anything until i go to update on the 13th, and even then we don't get so see the special packaging in person. i will get to see a picture and that is it. but the pic we saw on here definately isn't aqua.

I hate the packaging for this collection. Two unflattering colors together. I loooved the packaging for Lure!! I wish they would do a very similar collection but with more new colors. I wouldn't mind having more of that aqua color packaging in my drawers!

Neo reminds me of this collection cause of the orange. It's like they used recycled neo packaging or something. Moonbathe was the white one with golden sheen right? I liked that one way more. oh well I don't want to be tempted by packaging anyways.
