On the previous page, someone mentioned "conditioning" their brushes before washing them.  I have Becca brush soap.  It reminds me of a tin of shoe polish, which cleans and conditions the brushes.  That is the only thing I have used to deep clean my brushes, other than Sephora's Daily Brush Cleaner, on a daily basis.  Before I use my brand new 159, am I missing an important initial step?
Just a spot clean with brush cleanser is enough.
I got Adored today and I'm having trouble with it being really powdery when I put my brush in it. Any tips to avoid this? I'm thinking of picking up the 159 or 187 now. I don't have an duo fiber brushes.
They are a bit more powdery than previous MSFs. Try using a denser brush and pat it into the powder. Avoid using fluffier brushes or swiping the surface with brushes, as these will cause more powder kickup.

Just received my skin finishes from Mac UK. They all have a spot in the middle of them, not like a finger print, but more like a shiny smudge. Anyone else encounter this?

Is it right around the middle, at the tip of the dome? This happens during shipment. The pressure of the other items in the shipment forces the lid down a bit, and it rubs the plastic guard on the product. If the guard wasn't there, the pressure would cause the powder to break. Instead it just applies a bit of friction to the top and causes a shiny spot. No worries

Things I love that I did not expect to:

  • Simmer
  • TTT
  • Calypso Beat
  • Have to Have It

I also saw a MAC Artist wearing Exotic Ember as an eye shadow and it was wicked pretty.
I didn't expect to love simmer, ttt, and especially ee. I totally s*&^ed on ee from seeing swatches online, but when I went to swatch on friday I knew ee it would make a beautiful eye look as well as a blush.

I told myself I'd pass on the MSF's (since most of the MSF's I own are pink-ish in tone), *BUT* when MAC Pro passed out 20% discount cards at PHAMExpo and a MAC store was a couple of blocks away, I thought "Why not!?".

I was initially going to get Adored, but once the SA brought Lust and Rio, the fine pink glitter in Lust sold me. I'm about NC30-35 and Lust on me even shows up as a wash of pink and the fine pink glitter isn't obnoxious at all. It just adds an extra kick to the MSF itself. I also got Ablaze lip pencil with the discount.

Thanks. I definitely done need any more liners after getting the UD liner Vault but I'm sure there is one similar to this in the bunch.

I doubt it's a dead on dupe but Rockstar is probably the closest. Love both!

i initially bought lust thinking it'd be good for going out, what with the blueish iridesence, but i ended up wearing it during the day yesterday, and it looked perfect! not too much shimmer/glitter!

Decided on what I'm getting now, Rio, Adored (maybe), Simmer and Sweet Samba. Spoke to some of the people in MAC today, they said I can come in the Thursday when they release them and look through them and choose my veining etc because I want Rio to have more pink and a little bit of bronze at the side and Adored with most of it being a coral/peach and a little bit of champagne.

That's exactly what I'm going to be looking for on Thursday too! I'm still not sure what king of veining I want for SS, Simmer and Lust!
