i left my name and number and the list of items i wanted, and if they're sold out and weren't put aside for me i'll be gutted (and probably fume down the phone... woe betide the MA who said they'd call me back).

UGH. my mother managed to call them up as i was busy all morning. they denied the existance of the MA i spoke to (despite the fact i've spoken to her on two separate occasions, she DEFINITELY works there!) and tried to pretend innocence, beware was already sold out before i called yesterday?! when i got her to check specifically for it. really not cool. so all they could give me out of what i wanted was dark deed and heartless - i don't know yet if they gave me the discount, i need to check tonight. really sick of it though - with this and the fact they had the wrong release date info, i HATE this counter. i'm in london quite often so i'll just stick to using the selfridges counter (some of them are a bit clueless on release date info but they're actually helpful - with this other counter you'd think they don't want to make a sale!), and ordering online when i'm not in ldn.
also the selfridges counter had tons of stock, yay! so any uk people looking for the nail polishes - they had 2 drawers full of nps! LOADS of bad fairy left if anyone's iso it. so i got my back up IB, a back up for oh so fair because i can see me wearing this so often and being gutted when i run out, and formidable np
which i'm SO happy about because it's gorgeous! i'm wearing a thin coat over the top of chanel paradoxal and it's stunning - from a distance it looks like a darker version of paradoxal, and then when the light hits it there's a stunning flash of teal/blue.
bad news is, i desperately want to back up briar rose - i LOVE IT. this is exactly my type of everyday blush (dame was what i used before this) and i think it's just different enough from dame that i need to b/up.
that'd be the last item i haul from vv though for sure. i'm a real cheeks/blush person, so that's why i'm b/u-ing oh so fair and probably briar rose... it's my staple makeup item and i'm really picky about it, i've only bought 6 different shades in the last 5 yrs.
aaand the other thing i wanted to say was that i tried out truth & light at the counter and i was really disappointed. it pulled pale gold on my skin - so visibly so i don't think i could use it on my face. it'd make a great eyeshadow colour for me though! anyway, that aside, i didn't really get the cooling sensation either? i'm not sure if it was because it was a tester that had obviously been opened a lot, but it underwhelmed me massively.
it's very pretty though, just not suitable for me.
