I wore *ahem* OSF, of course, hehe
girlhaha.gif
...as well as French Quarter on the lower lash line and water line. But today I also finally got to really try out Strange Potion. I layered it over Lazy Day l/s and I just LOVVVVED it! My bf even said something like "

looking HOT!

"
lol.gif

Even though I only got a few items, which what I mentioned above is all of them
lol.gif
, I really adore this collection.

I would love to add Vile Violet one sweet day and now I also want Formidable! HOW did I not *want* this earlier?
drools.gif
I hope I locate the Orly dupe one day

Today I received Vile Voilet e/s today and I like how it looks in the pan. Everyone should get this eyeshadow! I'm going to come up with a look soon using VV.

All this talk of Violetta has been putting me in the mood to wear mine again, so I have it on today with Hellraiser over it. Now, I'm seriously considering picking up the magenta liner on Sunday.

Thank you so much, Teggy!

I agree, I think I'll be fine.

I went to three MAC stores today for a Pet Me MB blush. Unfortunately, none of the stores had Pet Me, but I finally got to play with the VV testers!
th_DANCE.gif
A lot of them were already sold out, but it's still fun to play with them.
yes.gif
Truth & Light was shimmery and very pretty! This will be my highlighter. As long as I don't pat them heavily, I think I'll be OK.

I wore Revenge is Sweet l/g for the first time today. I wore it over Cyndi l/s. I didn't plan this. RIS was just there.
lol.gif
I wanted to tone down Cyndi l/s. Since Cyndi was pretty pigmented, I couldn't really tell the color payoff of RIS, but I liked the result. My lips felt moist and looked juicy.

The effect lasted fairly long. I cannot wait to try more. This is a fun product. I'm glad I got it.

I want to use the remaining purple (if I keep it), so I have stopped scraping for now.

This is a side by side comparison between the funky MES and another one.

So, is it really an overspray? Hope not!

Try swatching them with a wet brush I'll bet yours are the same way. I hope they are.

This made me feel better. Thank you.

But still hope it's not an overspray.

Whew I'm glad the MES overspray issue is turning out to not be something serious... But I may still use my SWD sparingly, just in case.
tong.gif
Btw I really love the picture on the MES! That's probably the main reason I bought it.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

Anyone here notice their beauty powder compact latches sound a little loose or flimsy? It opens and closes fine, but the latch makes a rattling sound when it's open and I move the compact around.

Here's the thing - finally got my lost MAC package and the Maleficent beauty powder has nasty scratches on the front. The one I got at the counter doesn't but that's the one with the rattle. I'd really like to keep the one with the perfect case, but if it's going to break on me in the future, then I'll have to stick with the scratched one.

So what do you think? Hold onto the rattling latch one or return it at the counter?

I'm so disappointed! All three beauty powders from the counter have that weird sounding latch. :\

I haven't noticed it on mine but now I'm worried and will have to have a look at it. Everytime I open it though I do wonder about the latch breaking so maybe I've subconsciously noticed.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I picked up my BOA and HOD today and I was surprised by how much I ended up liking the packaging, I thought it looked so awful in pictures but I think it looks okay in real life, I think it's the shiny black packaging.

The only problem is now I can't stop thinking about DMD!

Not sure about the rattling sound, but I bought 2 Briar Rose and both of them had scratches on the front too. Not a big deal for me, because I don't think the Maleficent picture was that nice to begin with anyway.

My Prim & Proper blush does that too and i bought it months ago. So far it's still fine. I think you don't have to worry about it too much

Now on to the fun talk
greengrin.gif

I got my VV stuff
mac_haul.gif

I didn't play with the testers so i can only tell what i think of the product i bought. It was super crowded. Like 20 or more women were waiting when the door opened. Luckily i already knew what i wanted and i talked to the first MA i saw. She was getting the stuff for another costumer and after that she helped me and i could get everything i wanted
greengrin.gif

I got two of the beauty powders in Briar Rose and Oh So Fair. WOW these are pigmented for beauty powders i love them. I'm wearing Oh So Fair right now and it is such a beautiful subtile blush
love.gif
I'm sure i will like Briar Rose as well on my cheeks.

I also got one blush in Bite of an Apple. It doesn't look like the darker side of Marine Life at all on my skin. Hipness is a closer match for Marine Life then this. I can't wait to try it
greengrin.gif

From the lipsticks and lipglasses i got Wicked Ways, Strange Potion, Innocence, Beware! and Toxic Tale.
I quickly looks at Innocence, Beware! and Creme d'Nude in the tubes next to each other and Innocence, Beware definitely has more pink which i like. Toxic Tale is super gorgeous! I don't think i will wear this completly opague on my lips, but sheered out i'm sure i will like it. Wicked Ways is the red lipglass i was waiting for a long time. It has a little bit of fuchsia in it. Strange Potion is really a mix of Fold & Tuck and Perennial High Style. I'm loving my corals and this one is a nice addition to my coral collection
smiles.gif

I got one GPS in French Quarter and both mineralize eyeshadows in My Dark Magic and She Who Dares. I never tried a GPS, but it looks like a very nice base for darker colours. I tried it under the mes and OMG they look amazing over the GPS!! On there own they are not super pigmented. I find that they swatch better with your finger than with a brush.

I'm going back on Monday, because i'm curious if there will be anything left by then. I'm always at my counter when it opens if a new collection is released and never before it was like this
th_crazy.gif
I guess this was a really populair collection
