That is probably at the very top of my wish list for MAC collections. We were talking about it in another thread recently and it seems like a lot of people would love it as well. I am so excited for the new anime this summer!

Huge fan of the Sailor moon idea! I also wanna see a zodiac collection. A lipstick, blush and compact per sign. They could release it 4 signs at a time or part of a huge holiday collection.

I doubt it would happen...but I still want a Harry Potter themed collection. A Marvel collection or a Disney collection sounds much more likely. C'mon Avengers collection!
For Sailor Moon, I believe Creer Beaute has already released some eyeliners, nail polish, lip balm, and a powder compact for the 20th anniversary release (PS - if you're an anime fan and love makeup, check out Creer! They release products based on several different anime franchises). I think the reboot will be popular in the USA, will it be enough for MAC to take notice?

Thanks for the Sailor Moon info! I've known about the compact for a while, but I didn't know how to get my hands on it. I hope the reboot will be popular in the states. I believe it will be available to stream only, so that could hurt its potential to get a cosmetics collection from any brand. However, the manga is extremely popular and I've seen lots of new Sailor Moon merchandise lately, so that could be a good sign.

You're welcome! The compact sold out during pre-order (I think? I had some friends who were desperately trying to get the Sailor Moon compact) and now it's pretty much only found at a large markup on eBay. From the reviews I've seen online, the eyeliners are pretty nice and while the nail polish set is pretty, the quality is only so-so. If I could find the lip balm, I might track that down. I have two lipglosses and an eyeliner from Creer's Fujiko Mine/Lupin III collection that I like quite a bit, and I want a Rose of Versailles eyeliner.
I just went out for a run and the entire time, I'm thinking about fictional MAC color stories for collaborations I'd like. I need to write these down!
For Harry Potter, do you think Hogwarts House color stories would be the best bet? Or colors for specific characters or books/films? There's so much involved with HP I feel like MAC could go in many different artistic directions with it. Though a part of me wants lipglasses with the applicator handle shaped like character wands.
Also, a Jem and the Holograms collection sounds like it could happen, with the new movie coming out...whether MAC picks it up or not, I bet one brand (at least!) will.
Finally, after seeing products from Etude House's Minnie Mouse collection, I'd love to see MAC's take on the character.

I know this is an old post but I loved Neil Gaiman's Sandman! Take a look at my Avatar!I'll say it again and again until I sound like a broken record: I'd love to see a collection based upon Neil Gaiman's The Sandman! IDeath! She's so adorable! (Ok, that sounded a bit weird. Suffice it to say that he writes the character of Death beautifully - very very different from Pratchett's - whom I love to.)
