awww, this makes me feel warm and fuzzy that there are others like me. that tickled me!

New stuff gets to live on my counter for a while, by itself, apart from the rest. I like to look at it like that.
and then, even when it goes into my makeup containers, they get to live in the front for a bit.
Unless it becomes a daily staple, which finds home in one of the drawers of vanity (depending on what part of the face.. etc. etc. oh boy..typing this out, it seems, well, quirky.

i got my red makeup bag and themyscira opulash today!!

i cant wait for the rest of my WW goodies to come so i can fill the bag up...you know how when you get something new you don't want any of your old stuff touching it, or is that just me...haha

i forgot about how big the brush is on the opulash mascara and how small my eyelashes are so that's going to take some work applying but i have time to learn!

no, marajode you're not alone! i do it too!

i just applied the opulash earlier. because my lashes are kinda short and the brush is, well, super sized, it takes some time. indoors you can't really see the blue (my lashes are black) but when i went outside it was like POW! i'll have to take some pics!

Elegant, my quote reply button isn't working...again.

I am not sure about PP. The biggest section is the bronzer and in the pan it looks VERY orange. It gives me flashbacks of Snooki. I have never returned anything to MAC but this one might have to go back if I can't figure out how to use this without looking like oompa loompa.

No sign of this collection at my Pro Store yesterday, which is strange because they always release collections early.

Can anyone comment on how Mighty Aphrodite compares to Marine Life (without the overspray). To me it looks like they reversed the darker and lighter colours. I'm curious how the two products compare when blended together.

I picked up MA! It is really lovely. So both blushes are winners in my book. Have to say that the quads were not as bad as I'd thought. I found lady justice to be the worst, Valiant to be ok and I did think Defiance was bad at all. Didn't love it enough to buy it though. I also picked up Prance. It's like every time I go to Mac, a megametal shadow follows me home.

Marajode, I love the glosses! But as someone else stated, you have to be careful pulling the wand out. The wand makes me laugh - it's HUGE! I have a small mouth so I hope I don't end up looking like Meg Ryan after I finish applying it!

And Elegant, no ratonas naranjas!

Katred, I know what you mean about the mega metal shadows following you home - I think I left only 2 behind.......

I got my stuff and I'm very happy about it but didn't get that VV feeling and that's OK too. I don't know how I feel about Marquis d' yet, but I will give it a few more whirls before I take it back. I don't know how I feel about Mighty Aphrodite either...a few more whirls...I still like my NARS Torrid better . Anyhow, that Golden Lariat is very shimmery and it has a goldy color in it like Perfect Topping which I love and is my favorite MSF ever. I also like the natural in the middle so if I'm away I don't have to take two different MSFs if that makes sense. The pinky color is just OK, but I don't see myself using that part of it much so this means I'm keeping this super MSF in my collection. I love the nail polishes of course. I bought the expensive red bag and I just love it...keeping it.

And what surprised me that most and what snuck up in my list at the last minute was Spitfire...pure loves. Loves it! When I want a little color without the pow of brightness in your face I will reach for this. I loves it. I think Spitfire is my favorite item out of my entire haul...entire collection.

So in the coming days if I feel like these things are not working for me I'll take them back...Mighty Aphrodite and Marquis d'. Oh and I'm skipping the tshirt because it's a round neck. I like vneck tshirts. I think vneck tshirts are girlier and fun. Oh well.

OMG you all are a hoot and a holler!

I hope all of those that had make up damaged in shipment will be re-placed without too much of a headache.

I received my intact Golden Lariat msf today and of course it is simply gorgeous! As noted above, a mirror would have been nice for such a whomping compact.

I'm getting ready to settle on the floor and compare it with my other brown msfs. I like the idea of swirling the colors together with my 188 brush but I am just as happy to use them separately.

I know someone who might finish this off in a year or so - my niece.

My sister was poking around in her (my niece's) make-up bag today looking for filched MAC goodies (hehehe) and I noticed my niece's Sunny By Nature msf compact. I picked it up and turned it over - she has hit bottom on it with the base of the compact showing. Granted - she only had SBN, Petticoat and one from Revlon - which is almost gone also - but geez! The thing wasn't completely 2 years old yet! I've only worn the dome off of some of my msfs.

I bet if I gave her a Golden Lariat it would be used up in 2 years.

I love the WW packaging.

I suppose the packaging is one thing MAC got right with this collection. The blushes and msfs are the other.

How weird is it to release the collection on-line a week or so before you release it in most stores? So strange.

Is MAC giving us a present?

With a lukewarm collex like this I don't think so.

Let's hope it gets better! I don't think I can stand anymore half-baked collections - especially from a major collection (and company) such as this.
