MAC - Wonder Woman Discussion

I love Wonder Woman but not sure if the items are worth the money. I swatched today and really wanted the green palette; not good. Just to sign the deal, will get the blue Opulash.

Finally got my mitts on the collection.
'Got my colored mascaras! 'Love 'em all, since that Opulash formula stays natural looking even when you coat both sides of each lash for maximum color.
Also got Mighty Aphrodite as I expected I would. 'Was originally going to get Amazon Princess too, but I brought my Band of Roses in to compare and while it's a little darker and deeper than AP, it was honestly close enough that I felt it'd be wasteful to get Amazon Princess too. I do like the silly packaging.
Surprises I didn't plan on getting but had to once I checked them out:
Emancipation - this one is super sexy, with a great texture that's a combination of Easy Lounger's sparkles and Spree's metallic shimmer and that warm peach nude color that's not milky at all. Really cancels out my red lips without being a greyed out color. I was running low on Easy Lounger and Spree, so now I've got a nice spring into summer color that will take over duty for them. One thing on that applicator - you really have to yank it out of the bottle. After a good tug, it pops out with a huge sploof. Feels like you have to use too much strength to get it out, but I guess it'll keep things airtight, lol.
Heroine: Oh My!! This color is GORGEOUS. The metallic texture is really noticeable while still looking juicy and feminine and not like robot lips. I'm NC15 and it's just the right tone too - not dark at all. It looks like a perfect soft mid-tone with my red lips. This is what I was hoping Thrills would be for me, but so much more wearable and comfortable on the lips.
I was hoping to like the jumbo penultimate liner, but it was ALREADY dried out after half a day of being out on the display. MEGA-FAIL.
Everyone was pushing the bronzers on me, but they were easy to resist. With my dry skin, my creme bronzer from To The Beach will be much more flattering. I can always get one of the brown cremeblend blushes if I want some extra contouring.
Overall a cuter, nice collection than originally expected, but very resistable now that Quite Cute is hovering on the horizon.

I'm not sure what is going on with Nordstrom. I called this morning to place my order b/c when I went online last night they told me it wouldn't ship until 2/18. The store said they hadn't gotten their shipment and it was backordered. I went online again today, and it is allowing me to place an order and pick it up in the store. I gave them my credit card info, so hopefully they will complete the order for me. IF THEY GET IT? LOL I only got Pink Power and Mighty Aphrodite. I want to see the glosses in the store.

My list actually changed when I got to the counter. Marquise d' barely showed up on my pigmented lips. My counter only recieved 3 PP and 3 GL and PP was sold out even though I was the first customer today. I thought I'd be too pale (NC/NW 20ish) for Golden Lariat but my MA used a 187 and it looked amazing! It gave a beautiful highlight too. My MA couldn't believe how good it looked on me. So I left with Spitfire, Athena's Kiss, MA, GL and a backup of Viva Glam Gaga.

What does dalliance look like on you? Like compared to temptalia
Dalliance looks very similar on me - maybe a touch more golden green because of the colour of my eyes, but if I sheer it out I can pair it with anything. It is honestly my favourite eyeshadows of all time!!!

Pink Power MSF was already sold out. I bought Marquise d’. I cannot wait to try this and Mighty Aphrodite tomorrow.
I will try Army of Amazons on weekend.

Gorgeous, as always my dear. That blush really brings out the glow in your cheeks, too. I love the combination of colours and man, do I wish Cut a Caper had looked like that on me when I tried it on... I agree that the awesome of these blushes make up for the suck in some other parts of the collection.I did a look with MA today I thought you might like to see!

I hope you get your orders soon. I've had some interesting run ins with UPS as well. Just before xmas they left a big box that needed to be signed for at my apartment door when I wasn't home. By the time I came home 7 hours later the box had been opened by someone and the shipping sheet was missing so I had trouble tracing what was gone from the order. I was resent everything that had been taken, and UPS was going to be billed for it.
Got a chance to check out the collection before a meeting tonight. The store wasn't too busy, and I got to swatch to my heart's content. The most impressive thing to me was the makeup bags and the t-shirts the MUAs were wearing. They hadn't sold out of anything yet at 5 pm.
The best thing about my store visit was that I found out that one of my fave MUA is now also a trainer and she gets every collection, whether or not it's available in store. She has the whole Mickey Contractor collection, and I could have saved myself the worry of ordering blind if I had known this in advance. That fact will be filed away for future reference.

So... it has been confirmed to me that the Tote is only for the MAC trainers. The employees don't even get them =(
I walked away with:
Russian Red - I don't own a true red lipstick besides the red slimshine one and Rozz Revival, and I like the LE packaging lol.
Emancipation - light Milky Pinked Peach - I'd wear this with colour me coral, sandy B, etc. it is a regular colour I could use often
Athena's Kiss - to wear with blooming lovely, petals and peacocks.. I don't own hot house or anything of the like.
Wonder Woman - to wear with Russian Red. I found it to apply unevenly, but maybe it is because my lips are dry. It looks great over Russian Red!
Mighty Aphroditey - Nice peachy pink blush, but not that unique. I was biased against pink power because it was a bit muddy and the lack of mirror was a bummer. The MA said the mirror wouldn't fit properly, since the msf has a dome, which makes sense. I liked how huge it was!
Army of Amazon Opulash - I haven't tried this yet and I've never tried Opulash. However, I've seen the blue one on a MAC lady and it looked sooo blue on her! If I like the formula, I'd probably buy more plus back ups. I imagine it would work even better over a primer. I've been loving prep n prime lash stacked with Hard Candy's 1000 Lashes primer.
I also came home to a nice surprise. A Wonderwoman postcard from the bay was sent.

this is off my facebook so I don't know if it works. It's like a long 4 page fold, so I taped it onto my wall xD It has the Wonderwoman comic design which makes up for the lack of figurine/poster/AWESOME TOTE THAT WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR REGULAR PURCHASE DAMN U MAC ! *shakes fist at the sky*
I really wish the quads were better. They swatched okay, but not great. I feel like my haul is lacking, because I did not get an eye palette. How OCD is that? xD
I did like the green quad thoughhhhhhhh..................................
I watched Justice League and love DC and Marvel and the likes so.... this collection appeals to me, though I didn't like it initially. It kinda grew on me. The box designs are fabulous. Too bad it wasn't continued onto the actual product packaging... I probably would have been suckered into buying a makeup bag if it had the comic print.
