Although I feel the packaging could have been better I'm still loving some of the items in this collection My must have list Lipstick: Marquis'd Spitfire Lipglass: Wonder Woman Athena's Kiss MSF Golden Lariat ( b u t ful) Invicible Mirror ( is a must have because I collect all of them) Things I love but may not buy: Glitters and Pigments (only because it's permanent pro item) Defiance ( i love all pinks but if I have dupes I will pass on this one) Lady Justice ( I love this quad plus I don't own many) Valiant Quad ( I feel I can dupe this quad from the sound of it) Nail polish ( can be dupe also) Lipstick Russian Red ( it's a permanent item that I own) Studio fix fluid NC45/50 mixed Face and Body C7 MSF Med Deep

Meh. I'll admit I'm biased because I'm a Marvel girl but the only thing I want out of this collection is the Marine Blue pigment. I'm on a big 'gotta collect 'em all' MAC pigment and brush binge. I may skip the brush sets as I haven't been too impressed with their quality.

I'm a Marvel girl too!! *HIGH FIVE!* lol! But I also have a very special place in my heart for DC Comics, and most of their characters as well, which is why I jumped for joy when I found out Mac was doing a WW collection

Too bad my wallet isn't as happy as I am

Why does the black mascara look bigger than the coloured ones? Is it bigger than the normal Opulash for the giant theme here or what? Or then I'm just having a hallucination.

The black does look bigger than the coloured mascaras.

I'm almost afraid to ask what the price will be for the collection.

I am not really found on the packaging but that isn't too big of a deal to me since I depot most of my makeup anyway... and not all collections will appeal to everyone The products sound really great and I can't wait to see this collection! Does anyone know if all freestanding stores are having a preview event? Or just certain ones like they did in the past?

OMG I love the packaging! It is so cute, and tacky and retro and perfect! That being said I'm skipping the pigments and glitters but I will probably get the darker of the two MSF's, one blush duo and possibly all three quads. And maybe a lippie because that packaging is just too cute! Love it!

ETA: I usually "get it" when people complain that packaging looks kiddy and childlike. I think for instance, that the Sephora Hello Kitty collection looked like makeup that Sanrio Surprises would sell if Sanrio Surprises sold makeup up. But the WW collection reminds me of adults feeling childlike and buying something whimsical that reminds them of being a kid, like a play on being kiddy, not like makeup that a 12 year old would use. Just my 2 cents.

[/quote] Good detective work! I'm excited for this now. From the looks of it, I can skip the brown gloss. I think I'll just get the bronze lipstick depending on how frosty it is. I'm wondering if Russian Red is worth buying. I'm not a big fan of mattes. I personally love the packaging except for the shadow palette. It looks like something from icing, but I am all over the rest of it. Oh and what's the word on Opulash? Is it any good?

I'm continuously amazed at how good Specktrettes are at tracking down information. I usually like to think that I'm pretty good, but I'm nothing compared to the ladies and gents here! Thanks for the links. It's great to get alternate looks at products, particularly when someone has them in hand rather than the official photos (which are photoshop jobs anyway).

Shontay: Opulash is a really nice formula. But for the fact that I fell completely in love with the False Lashes mascara, this would be my go-to. It does leave lashes a little dry, but I don't find that translates into flakiness the way it does with some other mascaras. Although Mac promotes it as adding volume, I find it adds more length. It's light enough that you can do a few passes without leaving clumps.

Oh and what's the word on Opulash? Is it any good?

Wow! The one day I'm not on Specktra and we have the whole color story?!?!? And four new pages to read!

Anyway.... I'm actually quite pleased with the packaging. It's tacky goodness.

But, I'm not as impressed with the collection as a whole, and there's nothing that screams must have to me. There are some things that I'm interested in, but it was nothing like VV which is good.

My Preliminary List (all maybes at this point):

Again, the cheek products are what excite me most! I'll probably end up skipping the glitter and the pigment since I can get them any time, and I'll probably cut back in other places, too.

so now that my initial excitment has died down i am pretty happy with what is coming out with the collection. my list is still pretty small and i think that the only stand our products are the mascaras. now i cant wait for swatches and face charts!

The quads don't speak out to me but that could change depending on swatches.

Now that I saw a swatch of Wonder Woman, I know I have a dupe so I'll skip. I also decided the lipglass shade I get better be perfect because the applicator seems so darn difficult to use.

Any thoughts on dupes for Amazon Princess Blush Duo? My expectations are probably way too high but I'm hoping for a duo-chromey blush, deep cool pink layered with gold. Mac, you'd better get it right for me!
