I've read the reviews on MAC's site - some people don't like them, some people don't like the brushes, some people say they smudge or flake - so they all start to sound the same. And they are too expensive for me to try every formula. Plus i'm not a big fan of black mascara on me and so many are only in black. I like browns, plums, and purples - and i'll probably get a green from this collection.

I wear glasses, so i want a mascara that makes my lashes thick and long and noticeable. I want one that doesn't run too easily, but i really do not like waterproof.

Any comments or suggestions?

I've used one of MAC's mascaras -- Pro Beyond Twisted Lash -- and I really liked it! Not a super wet formula, but also not dry. I can't remember if I found it more lengthening or volumizing, though.

Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash comes in a few colours other than black. (Only brown and plum are in stock on Sephora's site.) I've tried it in black; the formula isn't too bad, but it's a little more on the dry side, I think. Definitely thickening/volumizing, but not necessarily lengthening.

Unless I get samples from MAC, I just use Cover Girl Clump Crusher. Not paying $23 for something that isn't special in any way. Now the colored ones, I will consider because they are special and only $19.50.

My favorite MAC mascara is Zoom Lash but I'm beginning to think that maybe I'm allergic to the formula(?). Not quite sure yet but my eyes do water, turn red, and burn towards the end of the day.

I'm no use on the mascara front, there is only ONE I am willing to use and I've been dedicated to it for like ten years. Make Up For Ever Aqua black smoky lash, I can't remember if I started with regular black way back at the beginning, then went to smoky. But it is absolutely perfect. I want thick, black, long lashes that stay all day and half the night (on my LASHES, not all over my lids and undereyes). It's NOT for everyone though, it's super dramatic. Looks like falsies in a good way. I have tried every single mascara known to man tho, both drugstore and high end. If I HAD to pick a second it would be Diorshow.

But I'm still gna try some colored mac ones because no one else has these colors! I want the red, pink, orange, yellow, and sky blue. MAYBE the plum if it's really bright. But I'm going to wait until they go on sale. I'll use each one probably a few times at most just for fun, so they're gna have to go WAAAAY down in price before I'll get more than one.

My favorite mascara was DiorShow in "Mitzah" which was described as golden brown. It was LE, in 2012 :(
I keep ending up with little sample-gifts of black mascara from Sephora, but i'd rather have one i really like.

According to Instagram this is when we get the Fix+ So I will probably cave and buy a mascara and lipgloss as well as two fix+ scents!

I love color mascaras, but Mac's mascaras don't do anything for me. They're just there and that's it, no volume, curl, length, separation, just nothing. Not even primer can save it. Chanel occasionally releases color mascaras for Inimitable and Le Volume and those are one of the best that I've tried at the moment. Marc Jacobs is releasing color mascaras soon too, but their formula takes a while to dry for me. As for drugstore, L'Oreal telescopic is the one that works for me when I don't want to spend $30 every five months on Chanel Inimitable (hg). MUFE's Smoky Extravagant and Guerlain's Cils dEnfer are great as well. Come to think of it, I need to buy a new mascara. :p

Still no eye swatches of the mascaras and I've checked every site in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, and Chinese. Countries that speak those languages seem to get their hands on things first. Probably because they have the most high follower beauty bloggers? I have to see if it actually coats the lashes full color or if you have to load it on/use a white primer/etc. I've never liked macs mascaras so I really need to know if these r Gna b okay... I should stop obsessing, it's not like they're Gna sell :p I just really want pink eyelashes :( maybe pink on top and yellow on bottom. With cyan liner!!!!!

We would've seen some actual lash swatches by now... I think we're best off just making our own colours and see if they work... Which reminds me... I got my gold pigment, along with 3 other pigments and my mixing medium ready and waiting for me to have a play about. Can't find my freaking mixing palette and spatula.

She has posted eyelash swatches of several of the colors so far, there's also been quite a few swatches under the tags Macupdate and Macupdate2017, also a few under the Macworkitout tag.

I got the green mini zoom lash. You can't see the green unless you're way up close or in direct sunlight + the brush sucks. It doesn't separate nicely. I'm going to get the white mascara as a base for the green & hopefully that will make it brighter. I'll wait to see which ones make it to clearance after that.
