I was thinking I would do the same thing. Do you know if Macys will let you pre-order with a store gift card? When I have pre-ordered in the past, I had to pay up front. No problem for me, but I do have a Macys GC that I'd like to use.

Back when I worked for Macy's Inc., you could not do any sort of presale with a gift card. They need something that they can charge the day of the event. Even though they ring it up then and there, the actual transaction doesn't go through until the day of the event and gift cards don't work then. They might have updated things by now, but I'm not sure. In cases where people wanted to presale/preorder with a gift card we either rang up their stuff the day of the event, but kept their info in the system or charged them the full amount and did an exchange using the gift card so they would get that amount credited back.

I'm still starting my stalking around the 31st. I don't trust MAC and their information since it's all over the place. Now, if we can only have the color story already. I'm thinking two or three lippies, the purple quad and one of the powders. I want to save a little money for future collections.

That's my plan because the titles of these next collections sounds good.

I called my mac store yesterday I live in NYC and they told the collection launches on jan 31rst, they aren't havent a pre screening but a post party, so just come in on the 31rst, she told me that it's not guarantee that they will have all the pieces to the collection for the post party. I was like 31rst!! Ahhhhh! I was hoping feb 14 . I guess I will be heading to manhattan early like 9am.. This is going to be chaos! I hate being in crowded places and around too many people during things like this, they tend to get stupid. I already made a list and I'm just gonna be in and out, ill probably swatch the pearl mattes just to make sure I want them, then I'm out.

Which store if you don't mind me asking? I am around the Flatiron store a lot, so I'm gonna call one of these days.

Thanks for posting this! I already have Da Bling, Vibrant Grape and Indian Ink so the Veronica quad would most probably be a skip for me. 

are these the colors in the quad? are they perm colors?

Thank you bluelitzer! I've been dying to get Indian Ink for awhile now. I know it's perm, but... I am definitely getting the quad now. I need to check to see if I have the other shades in my collection tho.

i know right...sheesh we're almost done wit Jan n still no color story!! it's funny how everyone is goin back n forth with the dates its suppose to be launch, online n the parties hahaha!! im like umm

cuz regardless when it comes out my wishlist shall await me til i pick it up lol. i dnt do the events cuz i dont like crowded space when shoppin n swatchin makeup!! i cant see how laydeez do it with so much commotion n frenzy goin on, it would definitely cloud my judgement cuz i'd feel under pressure to snatch it before its gone! while everyone is losin sleep n stalkn the sites i'll be sound asleep

and then i can use other swatches from others to confirm my list lol. so far now i wanna see what the 2 reds are and MAYBE the quad. i haven't had much luck lately w/their shadow palettes n etc. so i've just been collectin their vintage shades n goin to other brands for palettes i KNOW i can count on (i.e. UD)...im still excited tho' cuz i feed off of everyone elses hype of collections...and im assuming we'll be hit with another one like riiiiiight after this archie one

my counter said we werent having an event until the feb 23/24 weekend. why so many different dates? dont they usually all do it at the same time?

Events usually range from the weekend of the launch, to two weekends after the launch.

Thank you bluelitzer! I've been dying to get Indian Ink for awhile now. I know it's perm, but... I am definitely getting the quad now. I need to check to see if I have the other shades in my collection tho.

Indian Ink is awesome as an outer v color.

Edited -- Sorry If I caused confusion. Those colors are NOT in the Veronica quad. I just observed they look similar to those colors I have already that are perm.

oh those colors i mentioned are not in the veronica quad. they're perm colors that look similar to the ones in the quad as they appear on my screen that are in my stash.

This collection is still not doing much for me, but it's doing more than it was originally.

I'll probably skip the purple quad, although it was at first the only thing i wanted.

Now i'm interested in
Boyfriend Stealer lipstick
and
whichever Pearlmatte is lighter and cooler.

Glad it'll be a small haul, since there are so many other collections coming out this spring!
