MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

I think you are going to love what you got. I forgot to mention that I will be getting Nicki 2 in both the l/s and the l/g. You will get yours before me so let me know how you like it and what is the best way to wear it. I am thinking of pairing it up with Magenta l/l.
You will love the Caramel Sundae palette and the pearlmattes.
And, despite Sephora's mistake, I am going to keep the NARS powder. It is wonderful.
I have both UD Palettes as well. My daughter wanted SR but I convinced her she would like the UD better. For a few dollars more there is much more product, the packaging is better and I feel that the quality is better vs MAC SR.

Ooh, you got the gloss too. hmmm lol. I'm going to try Mac's Lush Lilac (discontinued) lip liner & play with some others. LL is one of my fave. all time liners. I wish mac would bring it back. And now I am most excited to see/try that Caramel Sundae palette!

I totally forgot I had that l/p! Just checked my stash and swatched it, from what I remember in store bb will be perfect over shore leave :encore: cant wait to get my goodies to try it!

Both of those polish look so gorgeous, I wish I could get past my dislike for the MAC formula b/c the colors they come up with for the collections are so on trend and pretty.

I know the colors are what suck me in! Luckily I have the patience to find ways to make them work. Usually 2-3 coats does it and a good fast drying top coat.

i'm so torn between these two, if ya'll can choose which would you get spoiled rich quad or UD glinda palette?

The UD Glinda palette is absolutely amazing. Now, I might be biased because Oz is my favorite thing in the world, but the quality of the palette is excellent and you get a huge value overall. That palette is worth it for the Aura shade alone. I can't stop wearing it!!

Oh, and I just want to say that because of this thread, I had a dream that I bought the NARS powder and my hubby was mad.

....and tomorrow my AG box arrives!!!!!! (Well, the first one anyway...)

I had the same dilemma, and I just ordered Glinda instead. There are some equally beautiful purple shades in the Glinda palette, and it comes with a liner and lipgloss, so you get much more for your money.

I chose both Oz palettes over the palettes in this collection. I haven't used Theodora yet, except the lip pencil (which I LOVE btw), but Glinda is really gorgeous. I felt they were a better value over the Archie palettes, plus the packaging strikes my fancy a bit more


I caved last night and ordered Veronica's Blush pearlmatte from the site. I added VG Nicki 2 so that it would have a travel buddy

I should be done with this collection now!

My final haul, though if I get a chance I might snag just one more BB or DLG....

I picked up comic cute and past curfew, I was hoping comic cute would be close to coconut ice from lillyland, but its a lot pinker and brighter. Oh well! Never hurts to have more nail polish :bigstar:

Those are the two I wanted too I really wish they had Betty and Veronica ON them. going to try and get Comic cute later on this month just to have a mac polish with a white cap

I'm going to pick up Theodora on Friday when I get paid again! I haven't decided on Nicki 2 yet. I'm neutral, so I can wear pretty much any color, but really pale pinks and purples don't do well on me. Maybe I'll get it and experiment with gloss and liner.

I think I'll pick up Daddy's Little Girl and Betty Bright when they pop up on Nordstrom, and then I'm done with this collection.

wearing my caramel sundae quad today. I didnt have any trouble with the colors showing up but i did use udpp. I seem to be one of the few that doesn't already have showstopper so that wasn't a put off for me. I really like the VB pearlmatte. It definitly has the inner glow thing going for it, It sort of reminds of my Dior Pink Diamond hl.

I finally tried it on last night, you are right it is definitely very pink but a classic red. I still like Absolute Power better but RR is very nice.
