MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

1/27 is supposed to be the next update, shortly after that we should see a color story of some sort.

That's what my store did for Marilyn and it was mayhem. I asked a MUA yesterday if they would have an event and she wasn't sure if this would be the big spring event or not. She wasn't very enthused or knowledgeable about the collection. I feel like most of us here on Specktra know so much more about collections than MUAs most of the time. :smash:

We definitely are more informed and knowledgeable and I think that may annoy and frustrate the MUAs as they have privacy policies that they have to adhere to. I think they also forget about the items at the advance workshops they attend as it may be a lot to keep track of.

We are the makeup world equivalent of the TV and movie spoiler, lol. Enthusiasts being nosey and sleuthing around the web for info. I feel like I can be over informed at times, but most of my MUAs know all about the boards, blogs and you tube vids and they can be just as informed and giddy as I am at times. They are so lucky to get to see everything up close weeks in advance. What's crazy to me is that they learn so much and then everything sells out so fast that they don't have much time to do make overs and test new products on us, for example, Strength collection lipsticks.

Mac Adventura store in Miami will be having a huge three day industry make-over event for this collection when it actually launches. No pre-launch party event this time around!!!! Disappointed however the bright side, I get to use my Mac E-card on-line guilt-free.

Bummer Aventura is where I go for those pre launchers

Me too! I love that I can use them without worrying about applying too much product and looking like a clown. And the glow they give isn't quite like anything else, at least by MAC.

Well, Valkolak's description is pretty much what I was going to say! They're impossible to overdo, but they still leave this gorgeous, glowy, natural colour

I saw few photos on instagram, someone posted some things she got from the Archies Girls Collection. And there's a brush set which is so cute, there are hearts on the handles. And there's also a teal colour pigment. I don't think i'll ever need to buy makeup after i get everything i want from this collection.
