If anyone else has resigned themselves to not getting LJ, here's a pic of Maybelline Lilac Flush. It's a bit pinker and a little more subtle than LJ (from what I can tell). Might be able to remedy that with a liner (I just used Chanel Pretty Pink to keep it appropriate for my job.) Also, meet Hugo, my office giraffe.

For those of you wondering I can say that IG nailpolish and the Sally Hansen color are a dead on dupe. I was wearing IG when shopping and saw the Sally Hansen color and went hmmm. In the bottle it looked too dark but I painted it right over IG and I was surprised to see that the colors are almost an exact match. The Sally Hansen color goes on a bit more sheer and is a smidge brighter/vibrant than IG but otherwise I'd say they are the same color.

It definitely has me realizing a few purple lipsticks I'm missing in my collection. There are also a few shades that look very different against my skintone...like Asian flower and go for it! I was almost lemming them till I realized I already have them!

I am sad to say that Asian Flower changes color on me - it turns fuchsia, and i don't wear fuchsia very often. As for Go For It, i have two, and i'm getting close to the end of the 1st one.

Vandekamp asked which is my favorite... well, that would be like picking a favorite child. OK, i'm joking, but it is hard, because i wear colors to suit different moods.

NYX Wicked Immortal, a great metallic blue-violet, is new, and much better quality than i had expected.
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Coven is beautiful, but rather drying.

Among my favorites not photographed above are:
Maybelline On The Mauve, which is a medium warm-grey violet-mauve;
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate (Moss) in 15, which is grey violet.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Train Bleu, deep aubergine (this one gets compliments)
OCC Lip Tar Butch, periwinkle blue
OCC Metallic Lip Tar Technopagan (the blue pearl glow is awesome)
OCC Lip Tar Metallic Black Dahlia

When you're my age you may have as many as i do - i'll be 66 in a few months - and some of those lipsticks go back to the late 70s or early 80s. I did a purge last year and threw away lipsticks that were rancid or were around 20 years old that i don't wear any more. I definitely have more in the pink to plum to purple to blue-violet range than any other colors.

My first time I used it with a reddish liner, the second with a pink. It can be loud, maybe try with a brownish liner to tone it down, cork or something? My friend said the same exact thing about this color. She's about a NW50+, she said she looked like a clown and was pissed, then I told her to use a liner and she liked it better (Cork). After a while it can also look patchy and cracked up. I find that happens with bright matte colors a lot. It takes maintenance...at least for me. I can't just wear it and go about my business. I have to check periodically.

I agree 100%! Love colors like BK but they are not the easiest to wear! I wore it the other day with Dynamo liner and ABH Carina. Took a bit to get it looking good and after having dinner, it was a hot mess ring around my lips. I also can't do colors like that on a bare face. Blush, brows, and at least liner are a must!

NYX Wicked Lippies are tha bomb, I have about 4 or 5 of them. Wore the green for St. Patty's Day.
