So I've had SLN sitting around in my makeup organizing shelf just collecting dust, so I randomly pulled it out the other day to wear out for drinks with my girlfriends. Holy moly, I don't know what was wrong with me when I first swatched it and just put it away, but the second time around I fell in LOVE and hard! :eyelove: The funny thing is when I took pictures with flash vs. non-flash to compare the color, it looked completely different on me! In normal light, it looked very yellowy-orange, somewhere in the realm of OCC Banjee lip tar, but when I snapped a photo of it with the flash, you would have probably thought I was wearing Sushi Kiss instead! It had a very peachy, almost neon, coral orange tone to it. Amazing how versatile in different lighting it was. I'm quite surprised that it's still in stock even now! I highly recommend giving this lippie a shot, it's definitely a hidden gem to have for your collection. :bigthumb:

IMO it looks terrible alone! On me at least. But I put a layer of Morange lipglass over it and it is beautiful! Thinking of getting a BU since I've been wearing it so much lately.

I love love it alone I love mattes period but I seriously think sln is one of the best oranges mac has ever made I secretly hopes no one else loves it like me so I can buy them all

I skipped AAO because after I wore it, I stopped looking for a complementary orange! lol I don't have a bu, but since it's still in stock might as well get one! I can always give it to my sister if I don't use it!

Yep. When SLN was released, I had originally convinced myself that I didn't need it. Now, I've convinced myself that I can't live without it.

Haha! I contemplate on getting a back up but I think I will probably never get through one since I have so many other things to wear...but sounds like noise has made me fall in love with the matte look! Ooh with this revival of love on specktra maybe we should all jump on a back up!

Matte is my favorite formula in general, but SLN and other MAC matte formulas are just awful on my lips. Chalky and uneven and horrible. CYY, Silly are the same. Diva and Please me and others are fine though. Is it just me? Anyway, thats why I pair it with Morange lip glass lol.

Not just you! SLN was giving me trouble this morning with unevenness, so I put it with Strange Poison lipglass.

If i apply these kinds of matte shades straight from the bullet and then use my finger to smooth them out, it fixes the uneven problem for me.

I just use prep & prime lip & they are quite smooth. Lip gloss on top if I want less dramatic.

Today was my first day actually wearing SLN (and not just quickly trying it out). It's so awesome! When I tried it out, I didn't have much other makeup on so that might have been the problem, but I paired it with Royal Sunset &Honey Jasmine blushes from AAO and did a subtle eye look and it looked so much better this time around. TBH, I was wondering why it looked so amazing on every one else, but I just didn't seem to like it as much. Just had to find a way to make it work. It's such a flattering shade of orange. I want a backup, but I'm being strict with myself. I'll say it once again, but why can't they just make it permanentttt? I'm surprised it's STILL in stock.
