I just called Canadian customer service again. They still don't have any confirmed information on where this collection will launch in Canada. They are under the impression that only the face component will be in select stores and online, not the colour collection. I mentioned that Mickey Contractor himself raved about the eyeshadow quad and the fluid lines, and you would think they would make those items available more widely. I also mentioned that limited availability will only mean a sea of outrageous prices on Ebay. They are going to try and get more information and get back to me by January 4th. The customer service rep said she had only had one other person call regarding this collection.
How can it be so close to launch date and they still don't have the release information? Seriously.
The closest pro store likely to have this collection is almost 300 miles from here, so I'm fretting right now.
My stand alone store doesn't know yet if they are getting anything. Then again, when I went to get some of the Cham Pale collection the mu who served me thought I Get No Kick eye kohl was a lip pencil. There was a time the in-store artists were familiar with the collection before it's release. Since MAC has been launching so many collections at the same time, I don't think there is enough time for the training. There is certainly not enough counter space to stock all the current collections and the permanent collection.
