Thank you for the clarification. I'm sorry you have to deal with it but it does look like a gorgeous lipstick. I might consider it next week when I get paid if my haul from Heavenly Creatures isn't too big lol.

Let me clarify that the fallout occurred after I was removing the lipstick. Little glitter flecks started to appear on my cheeks and chin while I was wiping the lipstick away. I still think Ruffian Gold is gorgeous to have, especially with all of its layering possibilities. I just have to be more careful in how I remove it.

I'm so glad this collection is sticking around for awhile and MAC seems to have enough stock.

I got all 3 lipsticks x2.
I have to do the dab and smoosh with RN - otherwise if I put it on too thick it looks like concealer lips on me (NW15-20), and I think the formula feels too heavy and opaque for a nude lippie (IMO)
However, I found my HG Red in Ruffian Red. I have other reds that I like, but this one is PERFECT.
I am trying not to pick up another backup since it sounds like there are plenty of reds ahead for fall and I don't wear red all that often, but RR really is worthy of all the praise. There is something magical about finding the right red.

I need some opinions on the nude. Would you folks say it's cool or warm toned? More pink or more brown? The photos make it look great, but I worry cause there are only some nudes I can wear and many more that I can't.

I'm wearing RR right now and tried RN earlier.  I love all 3 but.... RN is going to be harder for me to wear. Not only did I almost look sickly, but made the redness on my cheeks and chin (mild) come out looking way worse than it is. So, RN will be for full make-up days only RR IS NOT BLUE BASED. No way, no sir, no how. If it was labeled as a yellow based red I wouldn't have grabbed it. However, I'm liking it! It's only slightly yellow based so it works fine for me.  I'm surprised how much I love this mini collection.

Yeah its not blue based at all.

You just know. Its not a matter of compliments but "WOWing" yourself when you put it on.

I thought about that for a long time, how does one know?! I decided to buy most of the reds MAC has in the perm line to see what looks best. I adore Runaway Red(have BU's) but it just wasn't it. Tried on Ruby, Ruffian, Russian, etc all were nice but I didn't have that YES this is IT feeling. Then I tried on MAC Red and

all happened at once! So like Teggy said, you just know when you put it on!

my husband tho, LOVES red racer
he calls it "culo red" translation "ass" red said its my hooker lipstick
