Matte, Shimmery, or Sparkley? Which do you prefer.

Which is your favorite finish for your make-up? Can be anything - eyes, lips, foundation, etc.

I mostly like a slight, healthy 'glow', so I picked shimmer. Ive never really liked me in sparkly.. reminds me too much of the Olympic Gymnastic Team.. :spy:

I said shimmer... but like the above stated, a slight glow is what I try to achieve. That's why I LOVE everyday minerals in semi-matte... it's FABULOUS! It makes my skin look so healthy and radiant... unlike every other foundation I've tried...

i like a slight shimmer (healthy glow for face) and a matte face...
eyes are 100% shimmery, everyday... no crazy glitter though

I do like to do a matte look or wear something glittery once in a while, but usually I do frosty/shimmery looks, with the most shimmer on my eyes, a moderate amount on the lips, and a healthy glow on the cheeks.

i think a healthy glow (more a satin finish, in-between shimmer/matte) is what i prefer. i am kinda oily so i want to be matte in the t-zone area, but skin overall definitely looks more youthful, healthy, and pretty (IMO) with a little radiance

I actually like matte and shimmer. I think it depends on the season. In the fall and winter I like a matte look. In the spring and summer I am all about the shimmer. There are some exceptions to both but generally that's how it works.

I have oily skin, so on face it's matte all the way.
I will, however, make an exception for MAC "Dollymix" Sheertone Shimmer blush because the color is so gorgeous and the shimmer so subtle.
On eyes I like soft shimmer or frost; my eyes are large and intensely green and I'm shameless about playing them up.
On lips: Frost or shimmer, the more the better! I even like a bit of glitter occasionally, if it's not chunky.

Matte for face,because I have oily skin,especially on the t-zone!But sometimes I'll use shimmery blush or very slightly shimmering bronzing pearls on the cheeks and all over the face!

For eyes and lips I like both matte and shimmery!

I don't like sparkly makeup at all!I think it's too much!

I remember as a teenager desperately wanting the perfect matte look.... and on into adulthood I really wanted matte in my makeup. Until I got into makeup forums and boards and now I'm having fun with shimmer.

sheer foundation, meaning water based, no caky feeling!
And I like a shimmer powder or blush on top, but still natural and it looks healthy.

I just got my full sized set today... I LOVE this stuff!!! I've tried all kinds of foundations, and different mineral ones... and this stuff is just.. amazing.

I have spots of breakouts, and patches of red on my cheeks, and this stuff covers it. I love the semi matte formula (I bought the matte stuff, too, just for some variety)... my skin looks so healthy now. I think I'm about to convert my mom from Cover Girl now... (FINALLY! lol)

I prefer a satin finish. Sometimes my eye makeup is more shimmery and I will use some shimmery products on my face (like MSFs) but mostly I prefer a natural look.

For face, I like matte (I have Everyday Minerals foundations in matte and intensive, both the same shade). For cheeks, I like matte (but will do shimmery if I'm doing eye/lip makeup as well). For lips, I occasionally like shimmer, but usually just glossy lips without shimmer.

For eyes, sparkle and shimmer usually, but I notice most of my crease colors happen to be matte. I don't usually do an all-matte eye, because I figure I'm young, might as well have fun with sparkle while it's still appropriate.

Matte, matte, matte! Oh yeah, matte all the way! I do wear my shimmers occasionally (and my sparkles are barely touched - twice a month, maybe?), but matte is my all time favorite! Whenever I think of beautiful makeup, I think of lovely black-and-white photos of women like Greta Garbo or Marlene Dietrich, and of the exotic faces of the Kabuki. I think of class, mystery, natural sensuality and elegance, and for me shimmers and sparkles don´t convey class - they convey fun, though. And before anybody wonders, no, I don´t wear Kabuki looks on a daily basis, but I do tone them down, making them wearable, hehehe.
