Metal-X Creasing Survey

I have combo/oily Asian skin, and normally after an office day my eyeshadow would have creased slightly (even powder ones). I have pink ingot of which I have tried using UDPP and MAC paintpot (bare study) applying with my fingers and blending. With UDPP it creased earlier than when I used MAC paintpot. UDPP = creasing after 3 hours , MAC paintpot = creasing after half a day.

I definately think packing it on with your finger works better than using a brush. Although 239 or a taklon brush would be ok.

I'm the same skin type, I used benefit FYEye under it one day, and the next day used FYEye with a layer of mac studio finish concealer on top, it was a lot better with a layer of concealer on, creased after about 5-6 hours. All the metal-x colors are too pretty to give up tho, so I'm still wearing them even if they crease! I'll definitely try them over shadow. I don't like the idea of putting shadow over them, they lose their metallic finish.

I use udpp before I put it on. I have 6th sin. The first time i wore it it didn't crease...but yesterday i wore it and it creased like crazy. also, i have to put like a million layers for any color payoff. I don't really like it.

The ladies and I at my counter have come to the consensus that Metal X shadows can only be used with a paint underneath. Not a Paint Pot and not a Shadestick it must be a paint. Although we can't do it at counter I would also just use a finger at home because these things do not like sticking to brushes.
I also had a customer point oit that Fushion Gold looks a lot like the highly coveted "Goldbit" shadow that originated in the Tantress collection and has been brought back one other time, totlaly true.

First I wore it on its own and it creased within five minutes, and I said nothing because I read that that's how the formula works.

Then I wore it with bare canvas paint pot underneath and it creased within half an hour, and I said nothing because my lids are really that oily.

Then I wore it with paint pot and Amberlights underneath, and it still creased within an hour. I said nothing because I was hoping it would improve.

But then I wore it with paint pot, Amberlights underneath and even set it with powder, and it still creased.

*weeps*

I used UDPP & then a shadestick over top & then dusted over the metal x very lightly with a sheerspark powder from this years stylistics & it stayed for a good 10 hours

The girls at the store here said not to put anything under it.....I still did. I've been using "Painterly" Paint Pot, then Metal-X and a similar color shadow over them and have had no creasing at all. I have oily lids. I bought every color and love them.

#239 IMO would be terrible for this! Try the #242 it has hard bristles and packs on color really well. Or the #252 the bigger version.
