I just posted this but my thread has disappeared - weird!

Anyhoo, I wanna get the MUFE Mat Velvet fondation but just have a couple of questions.

What kind of coverage does it give? Is it full? It's good for oily skin too right? Also which shades would you rec for my skintone, just in case when I get to Sephora all the staff are too busy to assist me.

I'm an NC50-ish with MAC.

Thanks

Well, to me it is full coverage but that's what I like...you could prob make it a little more sheer if u wanted though. I have oily skin and I LOVE this stuff, I don't have to touch up at all during the day. It really gives a nice finish. As for color I'm sorry but I'm no help here. HTH

Cannot help with a colour match, but I would say the coverage is medium to full, depending on how much you layer on. It is excellent at oil control! If you really want a matte foundation, this will give you matte, for sure.

Perhaps the next time you are at Sephora, you could have them sample a couple of shades? That way you can be sure of a good match before you buy.

Thanks ladies, will get some samples tomorrow and buy the shade I need in time for my flight home on Sat.

I def need full coverage so am pleased about that - and the oil control too.

Thanks again.

I would say for color, judging from your avatar you would wear the same color as me No 75. And I wear the same shade in MAC, and No 75 is a great match.

Thank you. I'll go straight to no 75 in the morning and test it out.

I love the mat velvet. The coverage doesn't have to be full, but definitely builds quickly and easily. Mind you, I advise that you use thin layers and build, because if you put it on too thick it'll look fake and icky. If I put it on too thick, I get a china doll type of look (not so hot), but if I use thinner layers and build, it looks very natural.

The buildable factor is very helpful, because then you can customize the coverage to different areas of your skin as needed. This definitely holds up very well against oil and I find it even holds up well against sweat.

^^ Thanks for that advice re: application.

Well I'm baaaaack - and I ended up getting BOTH Mat Velvet AND the HD foundation after the SA did me up in both. I had to dash to another branch to get the Mat Velvet as they'd sold out of my shade in the first store.

I'm a 177 in HD and no 70 in the Mat Velvet. I've got a full face of HD at the moment and I'm very impressed with it. It literally melted into my skin! The Mat Velvet felt really natural on my skin and I think I'll save that for nights out/special occasions.

I'm through with MAC foundations! MUFE has completely won me over!
