I have heard from a reliable source that the guy in the basement needs some names for his 40 brand spanking new lipsticks. Here are my candidates: - Louise - Elizabeth - Lauren - Sophia - Veronica He needs 35 more. Any suggestions?

Keeping with the screen icons theme... Joan (Crawford) Katherine (Hepburn, although since there's already a Catherine, they could go with Kate ) Anouk (Aimée) Hedy (Lamarr) Gloria (Swanson) Jean (Harlow) Giullietta (Messina) I can keep this up for days...

I wonder if they are all movie star names, especially since Nars is such a film buff. For example, Vivien is how Vivien Leigh spelled her name, and it's not the usual spelling.

Yup, that's it. Nars has a tendency to name things according to cultural references like films and actresses. Of course, he's also used musicians and bands, so maybe the next round of lipsticks will be based on those...

Yeah, i was stumped on Fanny (other than Fanny Brice), but then remembered Fanny Ardant. Hedy and Anouk would be great-- sound so glamorous! BTW, Vivien is gorgeous. I compared it against Vera, which is more red. Vivien is more berry-toned, and looks great full on or as a smudgy stain.

Every time that I find the ultimate Audacious shade for me, the next one is even better!

I used the Sephora sale as an excuse to pick up shades 12, 13, and 14: Leslie, Brigitte, and Natalie.

I'm glad that I didn't purchase Brigitte first, because I may have never purchased a second one!

While Im at it, Ill look at all my nude lipsticks and do a swatch comparison. I'm new to collecting MAC but Ill see what I can come up with.

I may also incorporate some drugstore brands too in case anyone wants an alternative to some of the more expensive and/or hard to find LE lipsticks.

I am back from my NYC trip and very tired but wanted to share some swatches I took of my "nudes" (men wouldnt understand this ) before bed and share with everyone!

Each lipstick was swatched 3 times with the exception of NARS Audacious.
