I had no intention on getting a pencil from NARS but the girl at the booth just had to show it to me after she told me she could send me Domonique and Anna (said Anita at first but meant Anna) once they headed back to NY after the show. One swatch and I was all over it lol. Kind of sad I didn't get a free chance to do any more shopping on Sunday because I had my eye on a few more lippies.

That's so awesome! I totally see why you bought it, It's pretty. Being busy is good but a shame you couldn't splurge more.

I can swatch some if you like. I don't have Red Balloon, but I don't think Greta is too similar. I didn't really have anything similar in my stash at all.

I can swatch some if you like. I don't have Red Balloon, but I don't think Greta is too similar. I didn't really have anything similar in my stash at all.

Do you have Relentlessly Red, Impassioned, or All Fired Up? I would love to see Greta swatched next to those.

from left, red balloon, Greta, pleasure bomb. The differences are more apparent in real life but Greta is brighter and more opaque/pigmented.

Thank you! They do look pretty similar here.

Yeah the biggest difference is the formula and I prefer nars. It's more pigmented and longer lasting, doesn't slip around as much as the amplified, goes on more even. But that is more of a personal thing. Greta is gorgeous but if you have red balloon plus backups you may not need it unless you feel the formula is lacking. I'm not a huge fan of amplifieds so it was worth it to me. Plus I like the little more brightness that Greta has.
