Its so weird that the Nordies at this mall does not carry Nars. I bought Brigitte which is this lovely light nude rose pink with kind of a warm vintage rose pink look to it. Its very very flattering on me. It was the most popular at Sephora as there was only one left. I'll post pics tomorrow. HEY SHONTAY DOLL (lol) Barbara is VERY pretty in person. I wasn't sure how it would look on my lips, but I put it in my Nordies cart right away. Fanny, Janet, & Vera were really really pretty in person. Michiyo was insanely vivid bright magenta pink fuchsia. I wasn't as wild about Angela in person. The shade just seemed a bit too fakey to me I dunno. I really really love Natalie which was a bit different in person than a lot of the swatches I've seen. Its a warmer slightly brighter flamingo pink. I have that in my cart too.

Yesss. So glad to hear about Barbara. I can't wait to meet her. Ha. Saks in one mall is the only department store around me that carries Nars. It's not at Nordstroms and there's one mall that had a Lord & Taylor that stopped carrying Nars ages ago. It's annoying. Sephora associates at my local mall are used to seeing me swatch and then walk around trying to get to the right light to really see the color. I always get strange looks when I go to a Sephora unfamiliar with me. You think I'm stealing a swatch, people? Is that possible? It's a strange thing with Dominique. I knew it would be popular and that's why I ordered it immediately, but I didn't think it would be like this. It's like a unicorn.

I think you'll love Barbara. Yeah, I didn't see that coming with Dominique. You would think that they would have had STOCK on these babies. I was bummed out that Sephora didn't have more shades.

That's so funny about the swatching! I do the exact same thing - walking around to find some kind of good lighting.

Lol, about the lighting thing. I do it as well! Guess us makeup addicts know all the tricks. The lighting at sephora is horrid! I actually tell the ladies I'm gonna walk out with the swatches on my arm to see them in better lighting and that I'll be back. They understand me by now, lol.

:) But its so true! I try to walk out with a gazillion swatches all up my hand & arm to the skylights in the mall so I can see what they actually look like. Unfortunately, today it was all dark & cloudy. Its funny, I walk around in the store holding my arm up to a light lol. Wouldn't you think they would understand the lighting thing! geesh

I purchased Vera and Anita. Vera looks like a mulberry toned lipstick, not at all like the swatches I've seen online. Mind you, it also photographs a lot more pink than it appears on person. Anita is beautiful! If you are fond of MAC Modesty or Faux, you will love this color. It is a muted pinky beige. Lipstick, perfect for everyday wear.

I'm pretty sad that Catherine is an online exclusive. Really wanted to swatch that one. I'll probably end up ordering it anyway. Chances are it'll work. I gotta say I've bought tons of Nars lipsticks and whether or not I loved the particular color, not one has ever been an unwearable disaster. I can't say that about most of the other brands I like.
