I ordered Mascate, Montego Bay and Oasis along with Strawberry Fields and Bougainville. Looking forward to them arriving! I only own one NARS lipgloss, Turkish Delight and I really like the texture so I've been wanting to try others. I do wonder how similar Mascate and the new MAC Mattene red lipstick (Eden Rouge) will be.

I really like how the Delphes palette has not only three different colours in it, but also three different textures .... I think this palette is going to be a lot of fun!
....
Karen, of the makeupandbeauty blog posted this picture of Delphi, Greece - the obvious inspiration for the Delphes trio, and I am inspired -looking forward to wearing this trio in the early Fall.

I tried a light stain of Train Bleu with Downtown l/g. Not for the faint of heart but a beautiful dramatic lip for the pale sisters out there like me. I can also see this being gorgeous on WOC.

I wondered the same thing. I'd love to see the french website change. By the way, Nars is not a french brand. It's an American brand created by a french guy. ;)
Chance is the french website will make an offer with a GWP. I hope they do; it's been pretty rare lately. But when that happens, it's usually not when a collection is released, but slightly after. They'll probably make better offers for the holidays anyway.

I'm more and more interested in Grand Palais. And Mascate is a color I don't think I can pull off, yet I'm terribly drawn to it. It is simply gorgeous.

Wow, thanks for correcting me MarieMary, I just always assumed it was French but now I understand why it's US centered.

I'd love to get Grand Palais as well. To me, it looks very "19th century" even though women then didn't wear make up. It is delicate and feminine, the sort of color they would have worn, IMO. But there are so many other duos I also want :p

I got my NARS order today!

Delphes eyeshadow trio is very pretty, although I'm not a massive fan of the light pink shadow. The texture is slightly chunky and there is very fine microglitter in it. I can't compare it to other NARS shadows as I have hardly any, but it's definitely not as bad as the MAC Luster formulation IMHO. If you don't like sparkle then you won't like the texture of this shade. I really like the soft blue grey and the olivey green though, they are both smooth and apply just as they are in the pan really.

I also got Oasis lipgloss, which is a sheer neutral pink. It has enough berry tones to be perfect for fall, but enough warmth to look OK on my warm-toned skin. If you like bright or interesting colours it won't blow your socks off, it's just a good staple to have.

The Douceurs de Paris palette (relaunched in the UK for fall) is gorgeous and will get a lot of use :)

That's lovely! Thank you for posting the pic from her blog. I can see the inspiration and it explains why the colors are very paled out neutrals.

It's available in Canada and I think that there are options for Europe as well.

I'm drawn to the duo and the trio. Can't see them in person so I look forward to reviews to determine if I need them.

No problem. ;) It's true that the french (and european) market is clearly at a disadvantage compared to the US market. But it's like that with every american-based brand.

It's like you're reading my mind for Grand Palais!. :p It's delicate, feminine and sophisticated. I didn't think much of it when I saw the promotional picture, but it swatches nicely, allows some great looks, and I don't have anything like it so I'll probably end up buying it. ^^

So, I got my stuff today and I have to say, by first impressions, I am extremely happy. Mascate matte lipstick is wonderful. It's not dry and it's a shade of red that can work on just about everybody. Best of all, it doesn't feel matte on my naturally dry lips. It looks matte, but doesn't feel uncomfortable. It looks like a stain and it feels so sophisticated. Can't wait to wear this out, especially in the fall. The Larger than Life pencils are fantastic! First, they look expensive. I love the packaging and I love the way it feels in my hand. The color glides on effortlessly, however, it doesn't feel buttery. That's good because it didn't feel like it would run away from my waterline within 5 minutes. It seems pretty solid. I bought Madison Ave which is a gorgeous grey! A nice alternative to black. I also got Rue Bonaparte, a flesh color that is actually flattering on my skin and Via Veneto, a matte flat black. I applied Rue to my right eye and Via Veneto on my left. This is to test them. I will report back in a couple of hours to tell you how they wear. I hope they hold up because they are really impressive out the box. I may buy them all if they can last well enough on my waterline compared to my UD and Mufe pencils. :D

...The eyeliners are very good. Unfortunately, I fell asleep about two hours into my trial, but the liner only faded on the outer edges of my eyes. That has to count for something, right?

I just dug out my stash of MAC's Pro Pigment in Light Blue and it looks to compare favorably to Nars' Outremer shadow so I may not need Outremer after all. I will check out those Larger Than Life pencils though. They look lovely.

Is anyone concerned that the Larger Than Life Pencils costs more then MAC/UD/MUFE yet only have half the product? (0.04 vs NARS 0.02oz) :( ?
