NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powders

I just ordered the Pressed Light Reflecting Powder & Via Appia eyeliner from Sephora. I thought the pressed might be nice because you can throw it into your purse.
Could you please tell if it's any good - the light reflecting powder? I have been wanting to buy the Chanel loose powder for a while now, and then NARS came out with these, and now I am confused...

I'm usually lurking until I really have something to say now. I gotta say, I have really been turned off by the Mac side of the board with all the wank about a certain site and what should or should not be posted there and all that drama, you know what I mean? So, I have to work myself up to browse that section, but I usually bounce in these "other" brand threads. Much less fanatical around these parts.

I expect to see all the drama featured on Fandom Wank one day. Sigh.

I wanted to aslo mention... Today I woke up with a cold, so I look and feel like poo. I still have to go into work today, so I put on some tinted moisturizer and the loose finishing powder. My coworkers can't tell I'm sick until I warn them to stay away. I love this powder!

Just a quick question: how much product is there in both loose and compact format? I've been using the NARS Loose Powder for years now. Originally, it used to contain 40gr of product, and now contains 30gr; I believe it's still the least expensive high-end powder on the market.

My delivery of the pressed powder came yesterday. I will test drive it tomorrow at work and report back.

Another glowing review of the pressed powder on Café Makeup:

Thanks Anneri! :)

It seems they're testing the loose powder at the moment, and will post a review later. :)
That was the review I saw as well. I love the fact that there's a before and after pic that really illustrates what the powder does. Although Liz certainly looks beautiful in every shot that's taken of her, you can see how the powder just adds that little bit of added perfection.

Ok just got back from the mall. I got my makeup done in sephora and the lady used the loose one to set my foundation but the issue is i didnt like how she did my makeup to begin with so im not sure what to really think so far. She really packed on the powder though which i was confused because i thought it was supposed to be a light dusting?? I ended up buying the pressed form and i wanted to try it on when i got home but i was scared to get the sponge dirty since everythin was just so nice and white and clean and perfect. Lol i tried with a skunk brush but im not sure if it picked up anything since the bristles are white lmao. The makeup artist did tell me i can wear this without foundation to smooth out my skin though so i might try that tomorrow and let you guys know :) Did i forget to say how the pressed version was so nice and white and clean and perfect?? :eyelove:

oh my! But I was just thinking if I'll go ahead with the MAC Blot because I need a pressed powder, and the NARS pressed version hasn't hit Nordie's online yet! Now I'd have to postpone my orders again. Really hope they carry it soon!

:haha: I will try a brush with the pressed - Liz did & it worked.  I will use it without foundation to. Can't wait to get mine.
Let me know how that works I'm ready to order it but I'm wondering which one I'll like better the pressed or loose.... I seen on temptalia some other light reflecting powder but there were so many different kinds I wouldn't know which to choose

I will my dear! I'm waiting to see how cafemakeup compares the loose with the pressed. This one seems to get such great reviews.
