Please don't be a greasy mess!!! I want this badly!!
why would it be greasy when marketed as matte? do you think their tinted moisturizer is greasy?
I think you might be right. But doesn't suprise me because if you create product so matte you will loose sales... it is better to be not so flat matte and able to sell it even to normal skin and all the way to super oily with addition of matte powder or matte primer. Barely anyone now does super flat matte.
From your lips/fingers to NARS' ears! lol
Well it's more my oily skin that is the issue. My oils break through badly with the tinted moisturizer. I so want to wear Nars foundations because it was my first foundation purchase-sheer matte of course. I'm sure it won't be greasy on most. But for me, fingers crossed!why would it be greasy when marketed as matte? do you think their tinted moisturizer is greasy?
Siberia. What shade of foundation do you usually wear?
I don't normally wear tinted moisturizer as my skin needs a bit more coverage. Most of the tinted moisturizers I've tried in the past were very sheer, wears away quickly, and end up making me look a bit oily (and I don't even have oily skin). So, when we received a sample of the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30, I thought I'd test it for a week so I can review it for you guys (then go back to using my regular foundation).
Warning: Full Facial Nudity!
I don't usually post bare-faced photos, but since "a picture is worth a thousand words," here are my before-and-after photos.

The photo on the left shows my dark spots, dark circles, and blemishes. On the right, I applied a moderate amount of NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint in St. Moritz (which appears to be a good match for my NC30 skin). Yes, you can still see my flaws, but I think it did an amazing job of evening out my skin tone by itself. It seems to have a soft-focus effect that blurred out most of my imperfections and fine lines. (Filters need not apply!) It gave me a matte-but-not-flat finish that looks very natural. Simply put, it's "my skin but better".
It is so comfortable and lightweight that it almost feels like nothing on my face. I kept checking the mirror to see if it had faded or disappeared, but my skin looked fresh and shine-free all day without any need for blotting or touch ups. When I tested this, I wore it without any primer or setting powder, and it lasted about 8-10 hours on me. And it has SPF 30?!? What more can I ask for?
So, yes... I absolutely love this! I think I like it even better than my regular foundation.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you plan to try this new formula.
[h=2]Would you be able to put up a picture of the full ingredient list for this?[/h]I have been searching everywhere and can't seem to find the list anywhere.
