I know that other people DO like it.

Bottom line is, it's illegal, therefore I don't smoke it.

If I wanna 'relax' I do other things.

I think if I get on a medication it will NOT make me feel anything like how pot makes me feel.

You probably had some bammer LOL And it's not illegal for everyone,

But that's not even the point,

Marijuana DOES have medicinal advantages. You already have several biases against it, so it's probably not going to work for you. Any medicine you take is altering your mind and/or body and is potentially addictive.

Let's get back to the original point though! I really hope that you seek and get the help that you're looking for, and that you figure out something that works for you. It's an ongoing process. You won't just find something that's a cure all in one session or in one medication. Put in work to get yourself better and surround yourself with those who can relate to you, and those who love you!

Best wishes.

You're right about medication altering your mind. However, I guess I feel like, marijuana gets you high, if your medication is getting you 'high', that's not necessarily good. I don't want a drug that makes me like giggle and feel drunk (like Xanax), I want something that balances out my shitty ass brain chemicals and makes me feel a little more normal.

Doing pot definitely does not make me feel normal.

And I have done it on several occasions so it's not like I just got a 'bad batch'.

I'm not even a big drinker. I drink maybe once every 2-3 weeks, socially. That is another reason I didn't want to get on medication, because I feel like I don't rely on any substance.

Basically they provide any kind of counselling - and it is all confidential. Your employer, if they have this available, should have a number you can call and it's a 3rd party that is not affiliated directly with your company.

ohhh, I know what you're talking about now.

Ya, good idea, I'll have to look into that. My boss didn't mention it when I talked to her last night, so maybe not. She acted like I'd have to pay out of pocket.

My mom was like, "maybe your boss will just do some counseling with you!". Im like uhhhhh yeah, that's crossing some boundaries. I'd rather talk to someone who knows nothing about me and is not bias because they're my boss.

did something trigger your anxiety? maybe you can track down when it started happening and try to remedy it that way. i'd hate for you to build any dependence on any drug, legal or not. those are just so hard to let go of.

Well, anxiety can be caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. Sometimes it is not really able to be tracked down to see what caused it, sometimes there is no real 'cause'

i have anxiety problems also. mostly when things are going wrong in my life. that triggers me to worry about everything, not just the actual problems. i start to pick myself and my life apart. i get really depressed sometimes. in the winter it gets worse for me.

what helps me is keeping a steady workout routine and eating healthy, taking relaxing baths, having alone time when i need it...for me taking extra care of myself helps. im not sure if that would help u. alot of my anxiety has to do with me being insecure. reading self help books is good for me too. i've never wanted to take any drugs.

good luck

Mocha you are right.

Another issue I have is I am so mentally drained by Friday (I work 10 hour days from M-TR) and I am so tired, I don't wanna do ANYTHING.

I wish I had more energy. That might be another thing I should talk to the doctor about.

I used to take St. Johns Wart a while ago, it was not enough.

When you have extreme anxiety, some of the natural remedies are not enough.
