Newbie here!...Just a question about commission

Hi everyone!

I found this site after looking for information related to being hired as a MAC MA. I was so excited to find this helpful website, so thank you, and even if I don't end up getting hired, I'll still frequent this site as you all seem like lovely ladies/gents!
I am new here so please don't attack me for asking this question. I have a group iterview coming up and I just need to know if you get commission on top of your base wage? I do now with the company I work for and it will make a huge difference in what I ask for when they ask me what I hope to make. I know you guys stated your not allowed to discuss pay. I am not looking for any figures. If the answer is yes or no, is this the standard accross the board for MAC? I am in Canada.

I believe only Nordstrom does comission. Otherwise is NO across the board.

like ruby woo said, only those that work at nordstrom make commission, plus they make less hourly than artists at all other locations.

and on your application i'd just put down "negotiable" for starting salary. mac has a base pay they give everyone (it varies region to region of course). they really don't pay based on experience/asking price.
