Ciao everyone...new here.

Re: EL's Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowCreme

Went to MAC last weekend for Colour Ready swag, when I spied these little beauties along the way...and glad that I did.

Curious, I swatched each one, then sauntered over to MAC for comparison. Whereas MAC Paint Pots vary in texture (cream, frost, pearl, etc.), all of these share the same velvety consistency, and iridescent payoff.

With the exception of Lilac Petals (which I purchased), you may find some of these comparable (keep this in mind) to MAC Paint Pots – but they pale in comparison to MAC in richness and pigmentation.

Golden Apricot (EL)= Rubenesque (MAC)
Antique Gold (EL)= Indianwood (MAC)
Vintage Violet (EL)= Artifact (MAC)
Precious Jade (EL) =Moss Scape (MAC)

I wore Beautiful Iris e/s (MAC) over Lilac Petals (EL), and it was really pretty.

Another lovely is Sea Mist. While the online swatch may resemble Delft (MAC), it is much closer to Rollickin' (Fafi) mixed with Wondergrass e/s (MAC). Sadly, this color was not in stock, because I want it!

I’m also considering Golden Apricot because for some reason, I have developed an eye allergy to Rubenesque.

Worth checking out in person? Blue Velvet. Very close to Deep Truth e/s (MAC).

Only setback...powdery, so builds-up quickly under e/s.

Yeah I swatched these last week when they came in the store, my co worker unpacked them and my first thought 'Paint pots?!' But I don't know it seemed to 'dry' to me, like the color didn't go on even and smooth like MAC's. Although I do give them credit for having some different shades that actually have color than their usually norm.

Ok I went down today and swatched them.

Golden Apricot = Rubinesque but Golden Apricot has way better colour payoff! I was surprised.
Vintage Violet = Looks like Nice Vice but swatches identical to Artifact
ssad.gif

Sea Mist = Rollickin but slightly more aqua
Pink Blush = not Girl Friendly, is a little more yellow but beautiful in it's own right.
Blue Velvet = Almost black, difficult to discern the blue when swatched.
Silver Leaf = OMG this is a must have!! I bought it, such a beautiful shimmery silver, i swatched it against all the silver/black/brown silvers at mac and no match, gorgeous!
Lilac Petals is very pretty, bought this one also.

I found all of them to have good colour payoff, and some better than the MAc paint pots. They were all very creamy and went on well.

The black pearl double wear shadestick = Sharkskin, absolutley.

I swatched a bunch of their powder shadows too and was disappointed in the colour payoffs of most of them. The Pure Colour shade Moca cup is a good match to the Silver Leaf "paint pot", they looked gorgeous together.

I also bought the Bronze Goddess SunBlush Illuminator Compact. This was such a pretty peach colour when swatched, it will make an excellent blusher.

It was bonus time too, so i got lots of free goods!

I was at Bloomingdales today, they had the GWP, but looked at me like I was crazy for suggesting that they had these shadowcremes. The flagship store in Manhattan for god's sake...Makes me mad.

I had this problem when I went to a different counter to pick up the golden apricot and sea mist. They didn't know wtf I was talking about, and when they figured it out, they were unable to associate the product names with the colours. To top it off, I asked for some qtips/applicators to swatch with and she gave me ONE qtip. The two women spent the rest of the time checking themselves out in the mirror.

Both of those are doing Clinique's GWP. Belk.com is doing the Estee Lauder GWP.

I wonder if their Shadow Sticks are Shadestick twins. They have one called Black Pearl that interests me. Too bad they dont list the ingredients but it only makes sense.
