Oct 17th Unveiling party..

What will be available for us to purchase at the event? I know Nocturnelle, but what else? the palettes? the holiday sets?

What about Couture? This one is killing me- I am such a sucker for LE stuff.. and I must have all of this! But I want it like tomorrow! hehe

So what will we be able to buy?

Just the Nocturnelle stuff will be on sale at the event...holiday sets don't come out for a few more weeks...still, I am sure you'll be able to get some great stuff!

Uhmm,. I just got the black mailer with the metallic blue lace on it announcing the Formal black sand sets and it says October 19th which is the day of Nocturnelle?? So its a possiblity,. I am taking enough cash to make sure that I take enough for all,.. though I do think that the Couture stuff does come out seperately,.. later.

At teh event I went to at the MAC store last year, we could buy the holiday collection, but could not pick it up until the day of the official release.

the mailers (the black & blue lace one) are different from the MAC preview night parties, the mailers are just a form of advertisement to people on the mailing list

The couture stuff is schedule for Nov. As for formal black, my MA told me it would be on display but we would not be able to take it home the evening of the event.

I went to a counter preview on Saturday night, and we were able to purchase from Nocturnelle, the brow collection, and the Viva Glam palette. You could only preorder the items from Formal Black.

I went to an unveiling party last night and was able to take home products from Nocturnelle and BrowBeat. I could pre-order items from Formal Black and the VG pallette and can pick these up on Friday!

The party was fab - nibbles, drinks (all served by gorgeous guys), a DJ and every MA from the store offering assistance and doing makeup. Oh, and a roaming photographer as well ... lots and lots of fun!! The Formal Black kits are awesome!

Wow, yours was a nice party. The one I attended was OK, the female MAs looked fabulous, some really dressed up. It was very crowded, so I did not stay too long.

I too was only to take home Brow Beat & Nocturnelle, so I was disappointed.

Formal Black Col. is beautiful.

I went to the unveiling party here at my mac store lsat night as well. it was awesome. i brought one of my co workers who's clueless about makeup. all the ma's helped her out and gave her make up tips and she ended up purchasing a lot of make up! it was awesome. the new collection is pretty, i only really liked the taupe coloured pigment, but the brow stuff is awesome, and i'm going back to buy it after pay day it was definately a nice time. we had martinis and cocktails, hors d'ouerves and big chunks of chocolate as well. it was veryyyyy nice.
i didn't spend a penny though! hehehe

I went to the unveiling event last night at the MAC store near me and spent way tooooo much $$$$!!! Nocturnelle is very pretty but not really my colors. I did buy the Entremauve and Subtle pigments and the Innuendo e/s. I work in an office so subtle and Innuendo are great for everyday.

What killed me was the pre-order for Formal Black. I can p/u tomorrow. They are so so so pretty. And a wicked good deal if you are just getting into buying MAC. Here is what I got.

E/S Pallettes: Warm, Smoked (2), Intense
Brush Sets: Face, Basic (2), Eyes.

There are 2 Basic sets at the store. One is in the fringe bag and the other is in a satin box which is a MAC store exclusive. I got one of each. One is a Xmas gift.

I might go back and get the cool eyes. It was too crowded to keep trying stuff out. And cool colors don't look that good on me all the time anyway.

I spent like 400 bucks!!!!! I have no money now!!!!

For those of you who saw the entremauve pigment, does it look like violet pigment or how would you describe it? Is it different from the other purple pigments???

it looks like grape to me as a matter of fact there is a comparison swatch of entremauve in the swatch request section under nocturnelle. check it out.
