hey nunu i use studio fix fluid in NC30 i have combination skin and used to have bad acne but my skin always looks really good with this , i can't say it has ever broke me out and i love the coverage. I have been using the MSF natural in medium over the top and it gives a great airbrushed look.I used the Bare escentuals mineral foundation but didn't find there to be very good coverage and all the buffing made my face dry in patches (weird!!!) x

thanks everyone! I think the primer would help my skin look better. I tried mineral make up before but you are right all the buffing dries out the skin. I normal get oily on my t zone and the top of my cheekbones.

You may want to consider investing in a really good primer or skin care regiment if you plan on purchasing Bare Minerals. For myself, this particular mineralized foundation enhanced my large pores and flaked on dry spots. It did, however, improve on my skin (less break outs, natural glow, etc.) Too bad I couldn't continue using it....

I switched to a liquid foundation from Lancome; it's oil free and covers my acne quite nicely.

thanks everyone! I'm planning to purchase smashbox photo finish as my primer but i'm 50 50 about it because it's easier for me to get the mac prep and prime but a lot of people prefer the smashbox primer!!

LOL..

when i first tried it i was actually gobsmacked.. it covered EVERYTHING my acne scars.. some blemishes and redness and my skin looked naturally airbrushed [but i did use my 182 and 187 brushes to apply it along with the mineral veil]
- i now get compliments on me skin which is weird for me coz ive never had nice skin well since i was about 13 when i started breaking out
- the foundation and mineral veil has lasted me since June and theres still half left so its really great value for money
and there isnt a bad thing i can say about it.. and when i wear liquid foundation [coz i dont wanna waste the BE one lol] i use the mineral veil over it and it still looks gorgeous and totally controls the shine

I really want to try this now! I'm a bit unsure as to which shade to buy though - could anyone help? I'm an NW20

Studio Fix Fluid with Loose Blot Powder, MSF all over might leave you looking greasy. At least it did me and that's why I don't wear it.

actually now that you say that i know what you mean, it doesn't leave me greasy but gives me more of a glow because i don't want a super duper matte face , blot powder would be better if you want oil control x

I love Yves Saint-Laurent's Poudre Sur Mesure (Loose Powder), it controls oil without being ultra-matte and flat.

You need to use a toner under the foundation so its sets right!!

I have combination skin and am very acne prone. My dermatologist recommended that I add an alcohol-free toner to my daily routine. I stumbled onto Made from Earth's Skin Correcting Mist (its a spray) and REALLY liked it. My skin began to clear up so kind of dropped off my skin care routine.

My skin feels so much more refreshed and never feels overly dry or oily...which is normal for anyone with combo skin. I am also noticing less breakouts and when they do occur they are less severe and do not last as long.
