Shontay you're created a cult following of this stuff it seems:D  I can't say that I'm thrilled to hear about the explosive emission upon opening, but if the product   works otherwise---at least we've been warned.
 I hope everyone loves it as much as I do. It's so weird that it doesn't run on my hand, but after shaking it and opening the top you get this bubbling that happens and you have to be careful not to hold the bottle too tight or it'll just keep coming up. Maybe Chanel can rethink that packaging a bit.

i was going to repurchase the Vita lumiere aqua but notice this one in the nordies site. i think im going to try this one instead.

i have been using Mac F&B but its just not making it for me.

my first foundations were mat lumiere and Vita Lumiere aqua. i dont know why i changed to the mac one. im going back to chanel for foundations.
I do like MAC F & B for its lightness---I enjoy it in the summer or for just kicking around casually. I've not yet tried the VLA but I'm looking forward to getting
PLV. I hope you get it too---it sounds promising. I should have mine by mid-week.

BTW, you gotta shake this stuff before use and when you open the top, the stuff is just bubbling out like a volcano. Add that to the cons. It's gross.
LoL. Thanks for letting me know, I normally open foundations and try them on in a hurry. This would have been an oopsie for me.

I'll let you know when I get mine. Again, TY.

It might not be online, but does that mean it's not in stores? I have found things in department stores that aren't on their website. Has the product been discontinued?
I don't think it has been discontinued as it's still up on the Chanel Website when I checked last night. And you are right about department stores stocking things that is not online sometimes.. I would definitely be interested in knowing how VLA and PLV compares if you can get your hands on it.. I will too try and look for both..

It's interesting that the department stores don't have it. I checked Saks & Neiman's and neither seem to have it.
I don't mind that it's not in the department stores because I do order from Chanel.com quite often. Thanks for bringing
this to our attention.

I have wanted to try the Chanel VLA for the longest time but always just figured they would not have my shade.. TBH its all thanks to Shontay and her review of the PLV that it even occurred to me to see if they had the same shade that matched her in VLA

I just saw this tip in a review on Makeup Alley:

"The SA told me that the most mess free way to shake is to take the cap off and shake with finger over hole. I found this odd since the illustration on the box just shows to shake (with the cap on)."

Don't know if it helps at all?

Well that's interesting, thanks. I'll have to try that. I guess I can keep my finger on it until I think it has settled.

Ok I just tried it and it's the perfect solution! Thanks, again.

So, in conclusion I love this stuff from my short trial. Definitely recommend it if you don't mind sheer coverage or you're willing to add concealer. Dry skin, don't be afraid. Like, I said before if you're darker than me (MUFE HD 173, Mac I don't have a true shade but I am closest to NC45 which is too dark for the center of my face), unfortunately, there's no color for you. I just wish that since this is replacing my Perfection Lumiere that it gave me the same coverage as that one.
Geesh girl, I didn't even see your glowing ravings about this

Everything you say is true - its an amazing LOVELY no foundation foundation. It is hard to not keep touching your skin because it makes it so velvety. I'm so happy it works for you.

I'm so glad you had a good experience with this. I ordered it and hope I love it too. Just based on what I'm hearing, I think it will be great for summer.
Yes, perfect light weight for summer. I hope it works for you dear! I'm sure you'll love it

I am only worried about poor coverage :(
I know it can be a deal breaker for some but I really think the finish is so worth it. I can't believe how chanel perfected a velvet finish. It definitely evens out your skin, but if you have dark spots that you want to conceal, you're going to need extra help with that.

Cake face! Yeah I could never wear cake face. Most times I don't even wear foundation, just my own skin with blush. This velvet is the best texture I've ever seen in a foundation. And, I cannot believe how it matches my skin tone. Like it was made for me.

Thanks! But I seriously need to chill on my hauls now

I'm test wearing it today. Blush went over it beautifully & smooth. It looks the same now hours later than when I first applied it this morning.

I love how I cannot feel it on. I hate foundation that I can feel on.
