Pigment samples or full size?

Aside from the fact that it looks sooo pretty when you have rows of full sized ones sitting on display, I think full size ones are better. I just buy full sized ones and to make it easier to use, put some in a sample jar and use it out of that. Not only that, if you decide you don't like the color, you can always swap or sell samples or better yet, make a huge sample for yourself and sell the rest in original jar for a fair price. I honestly think e/s and pigments have awesome resale value, even if its slightly used.

Honestly, I'd probably go with samples. I wound up buying about 20 pigments, full size, and only actually liking maybe 10 of them. They do look nice all lined up and matching, but not so nice you need to shell out $20 a jar. The only ones I tend to buy full size are LE and neutrals, since I use those a lot. It's a preference thing, if you wear a lot of brights and can afford it, then go for it and get full size!

I really like all my full sized pigment all lined up pretty in a row, but a few samples of those that I never use much are better than the full sized jar, but I always swap for them because I just feel better knowing i got them from someone who cares as much about their stash as I do

Getting them on ebay is kind of weird! You really don't know if some weird guy sat there filling the little containers! LOL

i would say samples... i cant imagine anyone using up a whole pigment jar. i think that if you're going to buy the full jar it should be a color that u can use everywhere.

Thats what I do. If I like it enough when I'm done with my sample I just buy the full jar.

ok, so you are all saying mostly go with samples, where do you get the little jars if you don't get them from mac??

I dont understand samples because they are usually overpriced and underfilled. Plus, it doesn't take much more to purchase the full size. I prefer to slowly acquire a full sized collection. To me, it is much more satisfying than a bunch of samples.

I always ask for samples first & then I'll buy the full size if I reallly love it. I have 3 MAC stores in my area so I don't need to purchase samples, even though I know someone you do have to. My only full-sized ones at the moment are Fairylite, Blue, Green, Teal, & Blue Brown. Though I am about to add to that shortly

I do collect all things MAC, but my point is, I won't get something unless I like it and it works for me.

i would vote for full size too, completely superficial reason though i just like things to match.

I have 2 full size and 15 samples, I aim to have almost every colour so I can't do that with full size considering the price of MAC in Europe...

I HATE the idea of samples, though it's probably just my picky, exacting nature...I don't like the idea of someone I don't know possibly being unsanitary or unethical when making my samples for me...however, I finally caved when I realized simultaneously a.) how broke I am and b.) how much I want to try every color of glitter and pigment ever, and ordered a fairly affordable lot of samples on eBay.
