I bought this Cool Eyes palette a couple of weeks ago, it seems genuine to me as the eyeshadows have a high quality texture, appearance etc, and the shades seem true to colour. But as I'm completely new to Mac I just wanted to double check.
I've read that no genuine Mac e/s have mirrors in the compact, but is this also true for palettes? This palette does indeed have a mirror, as well as a satin pleated decoration on the top lid, and includes a short version of the 213SE brush. There is a decorative chain of black beads and a small black tag imprinted with the MAC logo (it's etched in, not printed).
