I really want Pink Velvet but I hear such terrible things about the company, I just don't know if it's worth it. Those velvetines look amazing though...

Isnt that the site that had the HUGE scandal because they were just repackaging products?

I know there was a scandal but I have no idea of the details of it. I have friends who have the velvetines and love them so I thought it was a good time to order with the discount. Hope I like them for what I paid.

I made my first on Black Friday too. That launch was horrible! Mine have been exported lol. So they been packing my three velvets for however Many days ....

Well if you got it with the discount, I think it was worth a try! I may wait til their next sale to give it a shot myself. There's another indie company called Pretty Zombie Cosmetics that has a matte pink (I believe it's called Spellbound?) that looks a lot like Pink Velvet. It's also $10 cheaper so I may give that a shot as well.

I just read up on it and the scandal was about eyeshadow repackaging. Didn't find anything on lipsticks and velvetines so I'm hoping those weren't involved. I'm too scared to look further into it atm since I'm stalking for this lol. Thank you!

MUA also has the luxe velvet lip lacquers. The formula of these is exactly the same as the Velvetines......and they have a purple that's to die for. The shade Reckless is also an exact dupe for Red Velvet. Shipping is $12, which is expensive if you only want one lippie, but if you're buying multiples, it's not that bad since they're only around $5 each.

I usually steer clear of brushes I can't play with first, but my favorite youtube lady uses them in her videos. Now I want them.
