LOL.I also ordered Heaux early around 11:20 est and it was cancelled no notification by email just found out by checking my order status around 5:30 est and saw that it was canceled. I reordered while trying get my kiddos reading for swim lessons which was crazy and that order is still pending. If it gets cancelled then oh well I can use the money elsewhere but I really kinda wanted this color.

did you also place an order pre launch? or were they all post launch?I called MAC CS this morning to ask why one of my post-launch orders (made around 1:30 PM EST) was cancelled.
As she pulled up my order info, the CS rep told me that MAC was trying to be fair to all customers and ensure that all customers get to own these products. She said orders with multiples of each item did get cancelled and even people that got shipping notifications for those orders will not get their orders.
When she saw my order (1 Heaux, 1 RRB), she could not tell me why it got cancelled. She apologized. Then she suggested that I place an order for backordered items and get them in July. I declined.
Honestly, it sounds like MAC just screwed up by canceling my "fairly" purchased order. I don't even have the energy to be mad. I am just so disappointed in MAC.

Totally---I'm way too old for this needless stress.Well, I get up this morning to check my 'legitimate' 'fair' orderone of the ls is backordered. Yep, I think thats reallllly fair.
I've been on the phone with MAC CS for awhile. I explained that they've had launch/ordering/sellout issues for a long time. Anyhow, because of how I explained things she is sending a recording of my call to the higher ups so they can hear it in my own words. I guess they will be calling me back in 2 days. I told her that they need to stop treating those that ordered early as though they did something nefarious or criminal. So I say cool, bring it on.
Oh, I said if MAC wants to deal with something that really is not legitimate, go look at ebay where they are selling large quantities of product & most people can't even purchase 1 on launch day.
Once they look at my order history, the are on my side(kinda what happened)
She also brought up about this beauty board. I guess that was because of the noobie snitch. I said that board has nothing to do with the epic fail MAC had yesterday.I told them that I wanted all 3 of my cancelled orders!

Having worked in retail, I am always respectful to CS reps. They are not the business moguls and theirs is often a thankless job. However, it's not their job to dish out lectures on fairness (like they did to me), blame customers/makeup boards (like they did to others) and deliver bad news ("we are intercepting orders off UPS trucks") with a touch of smugness. As the CS rep, you can be respectful, sympathetic, and resist the urge to blame customers. Maybe I am showing my age, but I come from an age where businesses believe, "The customer is always right."[COLOR=0000FF] Have to agree here---they're people just like us. They don't make the policies and often are as confused as we are when changes are made on the fly[/COLOR] [COLOR=0000FF] and not communicated in [/COLOR][COLOR=0000FF]a clear and effective [/COLOR][COLOR=0000FF]manner. Put the guns away, stop shooting the messengers and focus the ire where it belongs. [/COLOR]
