Ditto on the cuticles & lips. I hadn't thought of it being eye safe, and I'd think on me it'd crease up. I also have some Badger balm stuff that is for the face and eye area, too.

It's funny because Rosebud's a really old just cheap drugstore salve. I remember it when I was little & it was in the medicine chest at my grandma's, & it smelled like roses. *cough* years ago. You can probably find it at Walgreen's or if you have any old-fashioned drugstores like an old Rexall store, in whatever section carries your various "salves." But then yeah, it's also on Sephora and other beauty places!

I finally bought some, the original, on Saturday. I love it. I was using Burt's Bee's honey lip balm, but that was drying my lips out. This stuff is good for, chapped lips, diaper rash, blemishes, detergent burns and rough cuticles.

I have the original Rosebud Salve and the Strawberry one too both of which I've bought at Urban Outfitters.

I live in Colorado and it's really dry here especially in the winter. Nothiing and I mean nothing would heal my lips and scrapes but this stuff does. At night I exfoliate my lips and then put this stuff on. I wake up and my lips are super soft. If they're seriously dry then I'll put it on all day too. I thought it was hyped up vaseline too until I tried it. I have two tins of the Rosebud. One is pretty beat up so it stays at home. I recommend not keeping this in a warm spot like a warm pocket as it will get warm and slide around. Other than that it's a great product.

As for other uses I also put this on scrapes and such. One time my hands reacted badly to cleaning chemicals. I put this on and then some Burts Bees Handsalve. It's great stuff!

Unfortunately not available in Switzerland but I get my mom to bring me this stuff from Canada when I see her.

Has a lovely scent too, and it's made of natural ingredients. It's not greasy like vaseline either and absorbs really fast.

I love that stuff as cuticle cream. However I don't know about putting it on my lips. I'm not that fond of lemon stuff on the lips like lipbalm. My mom might dig it though, she's crazy for lemon stuff!

I haven't tried this yet ...but I saw it at books a million the other day ..you know towards the front of the store with all the little gifts ..near the burts bees and bookmarks stuff.. I must go back and pick one up.

I'm kind of baffled by the raves on this. Yes the packaging is cute, but it's just your average, a not-so-moisturing lip balm to me.

Really? And I thought I was missing out all this time. Boo:confused:

I was going to buy some when I saw it at Books-A-Million, but I wanted the Strawberry flavor. I think I'll just pass, my Mark and Too Faced lipbalm work well enough for me.

It doesn't have any tingling sensation at all, there is no menthol in it. I actually prefer it over the Burts Bees Lipbalm which irritates. I use this all the time for lipbalm and it is so moisturizing. I think it's the bees wax. The lemon scent goes away quite fast and you're just left with smooth lips. Just try it one time!

Yup, like others have said, rosebud salve is petrolium jelly with rose essence and color added. Aquaphor is also petrolium jelly, for what that's worth.

So, unless you particularly want the scent, I'd just get a little tube/pot of generic petrolium jelly rather than shell out for aquaphor or rosebud salve.

I think I might be the only person who isn't crazy about this stuff. It does nothing for me. Whatever you do, don't leave it in your bag/backpack/purse on a really hot day. I had a friend who left it in a bag in her car and it melted all over the place and was a total PIA to clean up.
