Rules to choosing E/S colors....?

I think there is nothing more cheesey/corney then someone who wear the same color eye-shadow then her clothing.

AKA
bright pink shirt with bright pink make-up
Aqua shirt with aqua make-up
Red shirt with red lip stick
etc etc etc

its sooo ugly and predictable.

I say go with what you like best! I am guilty of matching eye shadow to my shirt but I know most people think that is a no no.

I see this "rule" a lot and it always makes me laugh. Who cares? A lot of fashion rules exist because certain clothing combos aren't flattering to most people, but it's not as if wearing the same colors in your makeup as your clothing is going to make your face instantly sprout horns and buboes, and thus is to be avoided at all costs. If anyone doesn't like my coordinating when I choose to, well, I pity the fool. ;D

I think the only "rule" is to buy what you are comfortable with wearing.

Simple. I mean, I don't own Chrome Yellow because I don't think I'd use it much. But I have my shadows mach alot! Especially black
