Hi!
I always got samples from the PRO store in soho when i asked(the last one this saturday, a sample of Mauvement) and also the SA gave me once two samples of SFF as i wasn't sure of the colour (she gave me NC25 and NW20).
Also in Selfridges on saturday a male SA gave a sample of coppering pig (i asked and he said: i am not supposed to but i am in a good mood today! lucky me i had just spent 42 quid on brush set from novel twist surely u can spare a bit of p/g for me!! I like the soho store that's it!)

so i had to buy a full size Fuschia Pigment and i wanna know what Melon and Golden Olive pigment is like

Is there only only size you can buy pigments in? Besides a sample that is?
When I went to the nearest MAC counter here they refused to give samples, except to try on your hand. Cant blame em though, people are making money out of samples on the net

One interesting thing that I've noticed here in NY, the sample jars Mac gives its products in, is no longer with the cute little cap that has the logo. It's your regular 5gm jar with black cap. On the bottom there's a sticker that says Mac.

The mac pro in ny will give you 2 samples, in this they have been consistent. The Soho (NY

) will not give you samples of limited edition (this is what they've told me) but you can get samples of the other pigments.

I think it depends on who's working there, I always look for a nice young lady that looks like that day is her first day on the job

I have never had problems getting samples. For pigment samples, I would usually ask an MA that is really friendly but make sure that I buy some stuff first. On Friday, I got very generous samples of Smoke Signal and Dark Soul pigment.

Ages ago I went into MAC in House of Fraiser in the Metro Centre and said I was really interested in prep and prime, she just went over and got it out of the draw, but I hasn't finished talking and didn't say I wanted to buy it. So I explained that I get breakouts and wondered if I could have a sample of it to see if it works well with my skin before I buy the whole thing. 'No we don't do samples' and looked extremely pissed off. I just walked out. It's so hit and miss at that counter.

The MAs from the Pro Store in London are usually nice, they are quite wary about giving piggies samples but they never refused other products samples (strobe cream, microfine rifinisher, foundation, etc)
