Man... the fires from SD are slooowly creeping up to Temecula... I did not even see sky today... it was soooo smoky and I swear it was rainin' ash...

Job well done to all the firefighters trying to keep the fire at bay. They've been workin' round the clock... they've had firefighters from all over comin' in to help... last night there was a huge trail of fire trucks driving through Murrieta from Reno... its awesome to see that kind of support

My thoughts are with everyone in the area. We were at Camp Pendleton for the biggies in 2003. I will never forget it.

I hope they string up the a-hole(s) that did this. I am SO tired of this happening. And that esperanza fire last year? Unreal. The perps should be shot.

Maybe people should write CS on the website and complain. This is much worse than a SA giving less than stellar service.

Monday when most of this really got started was dead, yesterday (the day two of my evacuated co-workers had to go into work) was beyond dead and for whatever reason today was pretty good. I am still so upset by the whole thing, I am just tyring to not think about it or say anything because I like my job....

i think it'd be more fitting to burn them at the stake. ray oyler, who started the esperanza fire, is going to trial the second week of december this year (and lucky for me, the day that bastard's trial starts is my regular day off.) he's being tried on five counts of first degree murder and forty-nine counts of arson, all felonies. his lawyer is already trying to play games, so he should be shot too, imho. i went to the jail not too long ago and was speaking to the deputies on the floor oyler is being held on...it was unreal knowing that someone who is the object of the most intense hate i've ever felt was so close to me...

The death penalty /lethal injection is too good for arsonists who set fires to destroy people's lives. They should be doused in gasoline and slow roasted. I can not imagine the horror of such an inferno blazing towards me and no place to run....

I am in North Poway, one of the affected areas. i have been posting daily updates in my little corner of the world over at the Emakemeup.com site under the General topic.

Things are getting better. Tomorrow will be one week. Lots of rebuilding to do; lives to put back together. Its been really hard on the furry populations but It has also been really heart warming to see that all th evacs made preps for pets.

Never thought I would pull into Costco and see all the horses, ponies, dogs, cats etc camping in the parking lot. Another reason to love costco. They gave up a big part of their parking lot for evacuees and their livestock. It looked like a petting zoo! Everyone was comfortable, had food, clean water and shelter. We do love our pets.

Prayers work. We felt a few drops of rain today. Pray for a little bit more; not a downfall but some gentle rain would help put the fires out.
