O.k. I need to ask got some foundations online but color is not right, I would like to exchange them for another shade but my sephora does not carry the brand and I do not wont to loose my discount is there any way to do that or better just exchange for something in my local store. Damn that color iq thing is seriously bad.

If it's not too much trouble I would just research the brand online or here on Specktra to try to find your color match and exchange online. I noticed that stores are being wonky this time around about making you lose your discount. I did any even exchange in the store the other day (same item different color) and was told that normally they wouldn't give me the discount on an exchange but they would do it "this one time"

i would suggest u take it back and get the correct shade WITH keeping ur discount. I mean some stores try to be shady about it but it doesn't hurt to try it. I do it all the time (whether im there often or not) and u should just explain to them its the wrong shade n ask them to do an even swap!!

So far my first MISS was the Too Faced Loves Sephora Palette

The colors were not great on my skintone with the exception of maybe one. And it was a little chalky for my taste. Also the bronzer did not work for my brown skin. It totally blended in. Even with the discount it was not worth it for me....personally.

Thanks everyone yeah will go to my sephora and exchange it. I read that they do not do exchanges for online items. So I will go to the store and maybe get some holiday gifts instead. I usually like to wait for December as more sephora gifts start coming especially more men gift sets. I know there is usually a $ 20 coupon that sepphora sends towards the holidays..

Eyeshadow primer: Brilliant! I had one from the blogger set (Bought with my 10% off) so I ordered two of the duos, one for my mother and one for me.
Illamasque (sp?) nail polish in 'Creator'. Stunning. And a 'black' that doesn't seem like one/is fine for the office.

Miss: The clinique chubby lipstick bonus may be too bright for me, will try again. I seem to have no luck with reds, they don't suit me perhaps? (Chubby stick in Maraschino)

Edit: After trying this again I can apply it sheerer and like it better. I just need to make sure it does not change colour on me.

Unsure: Despite the hype, NARS orgasm seems a bit bright on me, but as mentioned I think I need to invest in a separate really good blending brush in the next sale (Open to suggestions).

Friday will have 10$ items (12$ Canada)
Saturday will have 20$ items- this is new, excited to see it.
This is the list from LAST YEAR

I would be interested in what you think will reasonably be in the sale.

My guesses:

Stilla art palettes, single, one specific set only.
Some sort of Mascara
Perhaps the 15$ shower gel ornament marked down to 10$
Perhaps Philosophy cleanser again
Eyeshadow primer
Lip gloss set

I have a nagging feeling the Clinique 'a different kind of' set will be in this sale, but I couldn't tell you why. I already own one

On the 20$ day:
I am betting mostly perfume.
Maybe a nice makeup brush

Has anyone tried their Smashbox Full Exposure Palette? I was just browsing reviews on Sephora and its getting killed for poor color payoff.

No not normally I think it depends on the store and the sale associate. It's really annoying and odd not to be able to do an even exchange just because of the 20%. I remember the lady mumbling that it was difficult to price override for the exchange. Not sure if this is a Sephora issue or the SA's issue.

I'm worried because I have a TON of items that I purchased and I don't want to encounter a problem if I decide to exchange certain things rather than return

I love OCC's concealer. Consistency is excellent, it glides on, and provides good coverage for spots and circles. The shade I purchased is, bizarrely, a little too light, and I'm quite fair-skinned as it is! (I bought R0.) However, the undertone is perfect, and R1 will be a bit dark for me, so I'm not going to return R0. I also love the Sephora eyeliner pencil I bought (Waterproof e/l in 03 Park Avenue). I really like MUFE's big Aqua Pencil in 4E, which is a dark greyish-taupe shade, but I been wanting it in smaller eyeliner pencil form and could not seem to find anything suitable, until this one from Sephora came along. It's a pretty damn good match. :cheer:

Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads - have been saving my majorly broken out face. I have to use a heavier moisturizer because the pads are drying but they work so quickly and so well on my breakouts.

I have everything else I bought stashed away in my closet because they are supposed to be Christmas gifts for me from my parents, who usually just give me money. Whatever it doesn't cover is a gift from myself.

Misses:

Anastasia Perfect Brow pencil - I got the blonde color and it is WAY too yellow. Hopefully exchanging for taupe. I might exchange for Brow Wiz instead since you don't have to sharpen it.
Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in Fiend - only a miss on the color, not the formula. Exchanged for Turn On.

Those are my only misses! That is crazy considering my 4 hauls between F&F and VIB.

One thing I tried right before F&F that I hated was the Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil. Hard to use and broke me out. It went back.

Clarisonic Aria with acne head, I love it, I still need to try the luxe head though and see if it's better or worse.
Shiseido cotton pads - the softest, most durable pads ever, never going back to drugstore ones lol
LAVANILA Mini Deo Trio - I love the coconut/vanilla one, the other two are just ok
Tarte The Tarte of Giving Collector's Set & Travel Bag - love most of the stuff, mainly got it for the purple bag lol

Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip - pink colors are too light and half products is minty and burns *sigh* didn't even like the taste/smell of the bite pencil. But I really liked the texture of nars gloss, so will buy that one later in different color.
