SHadesticks Vs Paint Pots

I love the paint pots. They never crease on me and with UDPP... the staying power is around 14 hrs. The shadesticks are drying and crease like crazy on me.

i use shadesticks over UDPP & i've never had a problem. it makes the e/s colour a lot more vibrant than if you just used UDPP alone. HTH!

I loooove the Paint Pots! I haven't touched my regular Paints or Shadesticks since I started using the Paint Pots.

Paint Pots work much better for me than shadesticks..

Shadesticks are on the dry side and always tug at my skin which makes it difficult to get a smooth, even application. They are also difficult to blend with. It does act as a good base though for keeping shadow in place for extended periods of time.

Paintpots on the other hand have a much creamier consistency and are so much easier to blend and work with. So much easier to get a nice, even application with. And I think they also make an excellent base for eyeshadow.

I think the trick is to not apply too much product when using any product as an eyeshadow base (be it shadesticks, UDPP, paint pots, cream shadows, etc.), otherwise your eyeshadow is bound to crease/fade no matter what. I even find that when I have clumsily applied more UDPP than the usual, my eyeshadow tends to fade faster. You only need to use a little bit at a time!

I like Shadesticks as a base way better than Urban Decay! I like using a contrasting shade under my eyeshadow for a holographic look! Shadestick also grabs pigment for me better than UD,and Shadestick also makes my shadows appear more vivid.
