I sent an email to Ebay asking if they can actually sell a website address they don't even own. TWO people have paid this person for the website already...................

Wasn't it P.T. Barnum that said "there is a sucker born every minute"?

**heads off to report this to ebay as well**

I don't know if this is the same person but I saw an Ebay auction for the same thing at $9.99. There should be some kind of cyber law lol. Natalie75 you should totally give it out lol.

Here is another one..
Barbie Loves MAC doll for only $35.00 new in box e-book : $19.99 buy it now

That's so messed up!!! They are claiming to send an ebook with info. on where to get your barbie for $35.00 & they go on to say you can purchase it for that price & then sell it on ebay for $100+

Wow people are just scamming all over on this.

I don't see the posting anymore, here's the response I received from ebay:

We hope you understand that, out of consideration for our members'
privacy, we're unable to tell you whether a specific listing complies
with eBay policies. The eBay Privacy Policy is in place for the
protection of all members.

However, I can tell you that our Compilation and Informational Items
policy states that listings that include compilations or informational
content on any media must:
- Not offer information on how to either purchase specific items or
receive them for free outside eBay
- Not contain any cross category information. For example, a listing
that contains multiple recipes can't also contain or describe wholesale
sources, screen savers, game hints, and so on.
- Not contain excessive use of keywords to describe the contents of the
compilation or informational media
- Listings that offer general wholesale items must not use any specific
brands or keywords in the title.
- Be listed only in the Everything Else > Information Products category
- Not be combined as a bonus item with any other listing
- Not contain any specific brand names or keywords unless the listing is
offering the actual item
- Not provide listings of Web address that offer buyers the opportunity
to purchase items outside eBay

That's just ridiculous. I work for Mattel seasonally, and I don't know what apalls me more....the fact that someone would sell an email to preorder with, or the fact that someone would BUY it.

Seriously, they can just call us at Barbie Collector for free and place an order that way, no email necessary.

Stupid, all around.

That's actually considered "Auction Interference" and is against ebay's TOS. Go figure.
