I just discovered UD Perversion & I LOVE LOVE it.Hooded lids here! I hold those suckers wholly responsible for the ghastly zig-zag shaped excuse for a winged liner I end up with 90% of the time I attempt one. I'm going to follow your suggestion and just the skin in place instead of stretching it the next time I try a wing. And take the line out instead of up. I actually get pretty decent results when I take the line out with a pencil (UD Perversion FTW!!!) and smudge some shadow over it. Smudged shadow hides a myriad of sins!
Glad you like it! We must spread the word!I just discovered UD Perversion & I LOVE LOVE it.
This may be part of my problem with winged liner. My fluid line (I have blitz and glitz) has probably dried too much. Definitely going to dip and flip all the time now. I need a fresh pot. I will try black track next time I order. Dip and flip. Dip and flip!
I remember reading somewhere that the eyeliner mixing medium can be used for rescuing dried up fluidlines. I have no idea if it has any truth to it though. This may be part of my problem with winged liner. My fluid line (I have blitz and glitz) has probably dried too much. Oh ok. I'll look into that. Either way I'm running low and need a new pot. [@]erine1881[/@] omg I just tried this. Best winged liner I've ever done!! the looking down tip is major! Too bad I have to take it off to shower. Hopefully I can do it a second time over my eyes. I'm doing eclair p/p with some deeply dashing on top. The liner MM is just used to mix piggies or glitters into it for liner. Some brands have rescue products that can be mixed (NEVER into the pot tho! Thats when bacteria starts to grow. Only mixed into a tiny bit on a spatula) into the liner to slightly revive the product, but it'll never be quite like new. But the "dip and flip" method keeps the entire jar like brand new clear the end of the jar. But once your jar has dried out, it's just best to buy a new jar and start fresh.I remember reading somewhere that the eyeliner mixing medium can be used for rescuing dried up fluidlines. So glad that looking down helped! I'm so happy!!!Oh ok. I'll look into that. Either way I'm running low and need a new pot. [@]erine1881[/@] omg I just tried this. Sweeeeeeeeet! Happy New Year to you too!I did it. I did it!!! Thank You!!! I was going to answer you on the PC thread but I saw this yesterday and I flipped. Your pic helped so much. I was making my line a little too thin on the front and then way to thick on the back. I had to slowly make it thicker so it could look more like the pic you had on the PC. Tonight I did it too but I used a gold/glitter e/l on my bottom lash line plus a little bit of mac's gold pigment to give it something festive, blusbaby on the cheeks and I used my naked 1 palette on the eyes plus instigator lippie. Thanks for the help. :bouquet: Happy New Year!
This is amazing and so not crap. You should do more of these.Only because you guys asked for it! Please forgive the lack of makeup. I did this at 1:30am. This is my first pictorial, so please be kind! :wink:1. Line your eye as usual using any pencil, liquid, gel or shadow. Here i used Blacktrack with a 266 brush. 2. Add an angled line of your desired length (this will determine how extreme your wing is). This line is generally at the same angle as if your bottle lashline continued up and out. Don't worry, it doesn't need to be perfect. We will fix this in a later step. 3. Looking down into a mirror (not forward-this is very important!), connect the tip of the angle line with the inner corner of your lashline. This line should be a straight "ski slope" line. Looking down into a mirror helps achieve this straight line. Looking straight ahead makes this difficult, as the shape of your eye changes when you're looking in different directions. 4. Fill in your wing. 5. This step varies slightly depending on how you do the rest of your makeup. If you: Use liquid foundation, use your foundation with a flat-edge brush. Use powder, use fast response (like i did here), mac matte or monistat gel and a flat-edge brush. Do your face last, use a wipe or liquid makeup remover and a qtip. Apply a little product on both sides of the brush so that the tip of the brush is chiseled to a fine point. 6. Line up the edge of the brush with the bottom edge of your wing. Carefully drag the brush along the edge to clean up (see, i told you we'd clean this up later) any mistakes. This also drags some product out to the tip to create the faded look so the liner doesn't just stop at the end, like it does in step 4. 7. Continue until you have the desired look you want. If you want a thicker line, just make the entire line fatter from inner corner to wing tip. 8. Add mascara to top and bottom lashes. Add false lashes if you want. 9. Done!
Best winged eyeliner tutorial ever!
