Single on Valentines Day? What to do?

Sleep! J/k

It depends on your mind set. I don't live in a city that has bars open on sunday so that's not even an option. I work tomorrow though so I doubt I would 'go out' even if I could.

I'm just chilling, but VDay doesn't depress me. If it does get to you try doing ACTIVE things to distract you. Know yourself, if sappy movies make you even more upset that you're single and alone then watch action comedy. Workout, tackle a project, or do something that makes you feel accomplished and good about yourself.

I guess it was overlooked that Valentine's Day overlapped with Chinese New Years which both fall 2 days before Mardi Gras. I took my pick and was busy doing homework, research, laundry, and prep for Mardi Gras.

YESH! I had no idea the Chinese New Year overlapped Vday! Fun non-Vday talk and things went on! I had a fun day thinking about and loving myself!

Good to hear!

There was a massive pillow fight in San Francisco that I went to yesterday. Better than any dinner and movie crap that most people get sucked into doing on V-day!

I know I'm late replying to this thread, but thought I'd share what I did: I donated blood. What is more about sharing the love and what is more straight from the heart (perhaps too literally)? I know not everyone is able to donate blood, but for those who can I think it's a great chance to imagine giving someone else a new lease on life or a chance to spend one more day with people they love. It's pretty intimate when you think about it...a piece of you actually goes out and becomes someone else's life force. It still kind of blows my mind. Makes the chocolate and flowers seem less important (though I still totally ate a bunch of chocolate and took a nap on the couch).
