Stolen MAC Tweezers.

Someone at customs or airport stole my brand new MAC tweezer. When I collected my suitcase the lock had been broken off and the inside pocket (which is zip locked) was also open, that's were my tweezers were.
I've been looking for them since I came back and tonight mom finished unpacking everything and they were not there.
I'm sooooooo sad

(not to mention pissed off).

I know that the airports have a new list of what you can and cannot carry on the plane and they do search but if you were checking that bag I can't see why they would take them. Was anything else stolen or just the tweezers? I am sure you had more valuable things in the bad besides MAC tweezers. Either way i'd report it and see what they say.

I didn't really have any valuables in the case they were in my hand luggage but we had another bag, no lock because it was excess baggage, and that had GHD's in it and they were fine.

One time in a carry on bag I had tiny scissors in my makeup case and they confiscated them said they were too sharp. I was so mad because they were my only pair. I am sorry that happened to you

my tweezer man point tips were confiscated too. Anything sharp that can be thought of as a weapon is now only allowed in checked luggage. I also got some knitting needles taken!

Knitting needles are currently on the OK to take in-cabin with you. I carry the list, printed out the morning of my departure, with me to airports for such... confusions.

aww am sorry to hear that, HATE it when things like that happen. Hope you had a nice trip whereever you went despite that.
Am of on holiday myself next week and am panicking about where to pack my make up.
Have been considering the Mac tweezers for a while now, are they good??

This doesn't sound like a confiscation for security purposes as they disappeared from the checked luggage where such items are permitted. Which route were you flying and which airlines? The first thing you need to do is report the theft to the police to get a crime reference number and then make a complaint quoting this reference number to the airline.

Thank you I will do that.
I don't think it was for security reasons either because they were in my checked luggage.

Okay I found them. I still think someone went trough my case tough because stuff was moved and the tweezers were in the lining of the suitcase and I know I didn't put them there, I don't even know how they got there (they were in the upper part of the case lining but the zip that leads to the inside of the lining is on the bottom of the case and all my clothes were on top of the zip).

Glad you found them. If you locked your case flying out of the USA it's not unusual for the TSA screeners to break your lock. They should have put an official notice inside your bag to indicate that it had been searched if they did this though.

Happy tweezing

Ugh, dont get me started on airports. They stole a good pair of tweezers for me too. I yelled at them and told them I was planning on plucking my eyes on the plane, (( which I was, I was going to see my boyfriend at the time graduate )) not puncture a tire with them. They didnt take too kindly to that......
They also stole both my lucky lighters. Ugh....
