Strange MAC eyeshadow Pot

It's definitely a fake. MAC shadows don't come with those little sponge tip applicators, mirrors, or have a flip-up pan.

Defnitely fake - I really ought to get round to posting my "guide to spotting M·A·C fakes" later this week. There are several clues but any eyeshadow which gives a number for the shade rather than a name is fake.

i would say it's a fake! it looks like nothing that's ever come out before. i'm so afraid of buying MAC on ebay cuz i've seen so many things that seem fake but claim to be MAC... so i just kinda keep away and stick to the real deal!

They are all fakes! and have been reported as counterfeit/replica, as per ebay policy the seller must state in the auction that the items are copies but they havent they are selling them as real.

they are fake. all the eyeshadows with the applicator and mirror that are being sold on ebay are all FAKE. i bought a few cause i thought it was cute that they had the applicator and mirror - well i put it on my eye and not even a 1/2 hour later it was off. i know my real mac stays on all day. FAKE FAKE FAKE

Along the same lines, there are quite a few auctions on there for something called "pro moist" from a UK seller, and the general consensus is that these are fakes. Funnily enough, I found a reputable MAC seller with excellent feedback selling a couple of these, too. What it said in her auction was that these have not been released in the U.S., and in Europe these are like lustreglasses, only numbered instead of named. (news to me lol!) This seller has a great reputation, I can't imagine her wanting to ruin it for 2 fakes, so I am theorizing that she got taken in by it, too. Amazing.

No. The seller cannot even sell them as copies as they breach intellectual property rights because they bear the M·A·C name and trademark. There are things going on behind the scenes which I can't discuss at the moment but I hope to be able to soon.

Goodness. First fake handbags and watches and now fake cosmetics?! Things like this make me very leery of eBay.

the eyeshadows themselves have no colours on the box and pot- just numbers like 9 or 13. which makes me thnk their samples or something something

Sorry, they're fake...I've read up about it before on a different site. Pots like that, and the ones that open up to reveal a mirror and sponge/applicator, are most def. fake. And there's loads flying round on ebay.
